Sophomore: Having just finished my first year at Wesleyan I can definitely see why this place is so highly rated. By far my favorite thing about this place are the people I've met from professors to students to alumni. I just think this place attracts a type of person who is passionate and interesting and I think that's why I'm in college in the first place. For Brown Rejects: The university is expensive, and as you pay a flat rate and cannot switch classes around easily the experience can feel claustrophobic or rather limiting if you're among the MOST driven students; but O! to be in the middle 50 here; you will stumble into incredible classes with awesome professors and interesting students who will keep you engaged in the material and the work is manageable, club scene is a blast, music is great, alright nightlife, and great senior housing.... Freshman: Studying at Trinity is the best experience i I’ve ever had. The student body is so cool, diverse, and supportive, the staff really cares about the students, and the professors are open to anything. Also Trinity is very generous - if u need grant money for research/study abroad/field trip - they always give it. Meals at Mother are really good. They’re diverse, and you can always find everything you need. CAMPUS IS SO BEAUTIFUL, one of the best (if not the best lol) college campuses in the US. Area around campus is so-so, but the campus safety is always on duty, and they have the blue lights system, so as a girl I feel safe about walking across campus even at 2am. Downtown Hartford is cool and pretty btw, it’s better to study at Trinity than in the middle of nowhere. The parties are SUPER FUN. The students are crazy in the best possible connotation. “Work hard - party hard” environment, definitely. Overall, I love Trinity, cannot emphasize it more. Couldn’t imagine myself anywhere else!... The school is small and the class sizes are small, so you can really get to know your professors and the students around you. Junior: I am a transfer student at Eastern Connecticut University. I transferred about one semester ago and now have been at ECSU since January 2022. My experience has been nothing but great. The students, faculty, and professors are all welcoming and the university has a lot of known to share. In my short time at Eastern I have enrolled in great classes such as Microbiology, Genetics, and next semester I will tackle Anatomy and Physiology one. Sophomore: A few years ago, I dropped out of art school. The courses I took in art school were unique to my major and school, so I knew most of my credits would not transfer over to another college. I was not impressed with the credit evaluations I received from most of the schools I applied to. After doing months of research, I stumbled upon a forum discussing transfer-friendly colleges. COSC was mentioned a few times, so I decided to apply and see what would happen. I was accepted fairly quickly and recieved an amazing credit evaluation back. Most of my classes transferred in, and the credits I needed to complete, I was able to take through Sophia.org. I have to take off one star because COSC uses Blackboard (hate it) and the student portal site is buggy and outdated. COSC should also replace the "College" in their name with "University" and update their site and branding. Other than that, excellent school and helpful instructors!
