Alum: My overall experience was great. I greatly appreciate the genuine will of staff and faculty in regards to preparing students for their futures. The campus overall was very interactive. The university did a good Job of keeping students informed and up to date. I feel safety is critical being that many students live on campus and in campus housing. The university excelled in making sure campus security was present and available and they also effectively made sure students were aware of all safety services provided. I believe orientation, welcome week, & other events were very well organized, informative, and always were fun. As far as classes and labs, UNLV had a variety of class and lab sizes. I feel they were well maintained and accessible but, allowed for great amounts of interaction. I even appreciate how well paced and organized online courses were! Sophomore: My experience with Truckee Meadows Community College has been phenomenal! I stared college right after high school. Going from one school to another may be difficult, but with TMCC the transition was smooth and comfortable. The classroom sizes go from anywhere to 15- 30 students. Unlike a auditorium in university setting filled with over 100 students. I truly love community college, and if I could stay at TMCC for all of my degrees I certainly would! Freshman: My opinion of the College of Southern Nevada is that the school is a good two-year school to get your associate's degree and then transfer to a university. The people on the campus are really nice, and most of the teachers actually care about the topic they are teaching. The College of Southern Nevada provides many different scholarship opportunities that can really benefit the student. The cost of tuition is cheap, however since it's a community college there isn't any housing offered by the school. Junior: This is my latest attempt at getting my Bachelor's degree. All the classes in this program are online - as many are these days. But online classes are different than they used to be and this program has an accelerated schedule - I am loving it all so far. The teachers are tough, but not too tough and the pace is amazing!
