Junior: Northeastern Illinois University, like a lot of other things in life, is what you make of it. You get out what you put in. The biggest distinction from high school, in my opinion, is that you have a lot more freedom. Classes are generally more relaxed. For example, I go to school every day for only one class and I have one online class. So now I have more free time as opposed to high school where I was occupied for about 8 hours. Overall, the college experience is an enjoyable one. I like it a lot more than high school, that’s for sure. You just gotta make the most of it and put in work. Make friends, work hard, join a group or two. You’ll discover a lot about yourself, and you’ll never be this young with more opportunities. This is the ideal time to experiment.
