Alum: I loved going to BC3 for my Associates degree! Every professor I had during my two years there was so helpful and accommodating. There were a lot of activities on campus to help you to meet more students and just enjoy yourself. The only thing that took away from the traditional college experience is that there was not any kind of student housing (as it was a local community college). Freshman: Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology is a simple effective school and that is the best way I can put it. If you would like to pursue a career in a vocational career like Welding then this is the place to be. The hire rate is also quite successful so there is no Job downside. Now, the quality of the campus is average. The food at Stevens is the same three meals, Pizza, Burgers or Chicken. The Shuttle service to the smaller campuses is modest at best. Some shuttle drivers basically do whatever they please. Like, watch tv while driving, show up when they feel like it, etc. Another thing is the quality of the campus cleaning wise. The main campus is clean, well maintained and mostly appealing. The orange and greenfield campuses, however, are not so fortunate. The smaller campuses are often dirty, not up to date and are not maintained to the extent they should be. Alum: For someone who spent an extra online year due to the pandemic, the professors at Montco made the experience easier, assuring that there are many recourses for me if I am struggling both academically and mentally. I spent my first and third years at Montco in person. The campus is very inviting and modernized, accommodating for students whether they need computers to do homework, food or beverages breaks of long study sessions, plenty of lounge areas to work and talk to new friends, and multiple sports teams with amazing coaches. As a former captain of the women's soccer team, I can proudly say that it was worth the experience, as I met my best friends, got to stay active while being a full-time student, and feeling like a belonged. Aside from the experience Montco is affordable, and accommodates for busy schedules with online learning, and 24/7 online tutoring. Sophomore: I’ve been going to CCAC for 3 semesters now to pursue an associates degree in psychology and Education and it’s been great so far! I really feel like the professors at CCAC are here to teach you something and they will help you to get through all of your struggles. The professors I had always have been understanding of any problems that came up and they were very approachable. Alum: I love Westmoreland County Community College! It welcomed me at the age of 15 and helped me get on my path to my 4-year school. The faculty are AMAZING, the campus is gorgeous, and the education is absolutely top-notch. I attended WCCC for 2 years (to get an Associate’s degree), and I was never disappointed. Freshman: This is a wonderful cc to go to if you're looking to save money without compromising your education. The professors actually care about you and your experience. The campus works to make sure all the studdents get the attention and resources they need. I recommend attending here if you're looking for a cc where you can have interesting classes as well. If you're really looking to save money, apply for the "Honors Scholars Program." If you get in, you get your first 2 years of higher education for free! Since it's a cc, sports and parties are not very big here. You need to make friends and then find parties with them if you want to do that. The diversity on campus is not anything impressive but it's a lot better than many PWIs in this area. There are clubs and events to make it as easy as possible for you to connect with others.... Freshman: I have not started school yet at Eastern. I start February 3 which is in a month. I’m very excited to start the nursing program at Easter with hopes and dreams achieving everything I want and more. I’ve meet some of the teachers learn more about the program over the pass few months, as I waited to hear if I was accepted. So far all the professors I have met seemed really nice and very encouraging. The school cost 15000 which is not bad for a year program, so thousand dollars would help me out a lot towards the tution, so I hope I win if not congratulations to the next student and good look in school....
