Freshman: I feel like this is a good opportunity to go back to College at Central Louisiana College. I am in interested in the H-vac and refrigeration degree. The professor seems to be knowledgeable and nice. This is a Technical degree which can help me get a good paying job after I graduate and it's hands on and not just not all classroom. I will be able to live at home, work part time and still pursue this degree with out the added price of living on a campus. Hopefully this degree will open up endless job opportunities not only within my state of Louisiana but also, out of state jobs if I wish. I like the idea of being able to go to a Technical college without the big college price. For the town of Alexandria there isn't alot to offer as far as job opportunities with out some sort of degree. I want to be able to work part time in the H-vac while I attend school. Sophomore: Very helpful staff! Smaller classes, therefore less stress and pressure in class. Very highly rated professors. They have a more affordable tuition with a variety of class options. It's a 2 year college, but with the amount of classes they offer you can continue further into a 4 year degree before having to transfer. Offers a variety of online, hybrid, and on campus classes. Junior: Such an amazing school!! Filled with such good hearted peers and administrators.. They help out in any way possible rather that be a simple question or interest, they leave you satisfied! The campus is beautifully structured and easy to navigate without a campus map.. The instructors their are also helpful and do everything they can to help students understand the lessons being taught.. Although most of my semester courses were taken online, I still get the chance to experience everything a college student is supposed to! Sophomore: I love South Louisiana Community College. I love that the university is not a large campus like other universities. I feel like the school is family oriented. I feel like my classmates are like a second family. The staff and the professors are accommodating and try to encourage the students during their journey. Everyone has been outgoing to me and has gone out of their way to help me succeed. At this school, all students try to help each other accomplish their goals to graduate. I also appreciate that they offer face-to-face classes as well as online courses. The flexibility offered to students is essential, especially for students trying to work a full-time jobs while pursuing an education. Freshman: I love this campus and the professors. I am a deaf student attending college as a freshman. I receive a tremendous amount of help from my professors. They are quick to help with any questions I have or any problems that may arise. I love the small class size and love the feel of the campus. Sophomore: I took my first semester on campus, and I absolutely loved all of my classes and professors. There were countless resources on campus available to me. There were many activities in the court yard such as volley ball tournaments and other fun games that school clubs would host. There was always something fun going on when you walked out of a class building. The administration is very helpful as well. My second semester I switched to online and moved off of campus which I also enjoyed. The professors online were very helpful in trying to help tackle any technical issues as well.... Junior: I transferred to Delgado from a bigger four-year college and realized that I wish I would've came to Delgado sooner. Delgado is a better fit for me because I can go to school and do online classes all while still being able to live at home and work for my money. The professors really want you to learn and succeed. The only thing that I would change would be making it easier to get in touch quickly with the faculty at the school. Not many answer emails or phone calls until days after, which I wish wasn't the case in times of stress dealing with scheduling and financial aid. Sophomore: I love everything about Nunez. From the staff to the students. It's one big happy family and I'll recommend them to anyone! I have been attending Nunez for some years, but I've been working on more than one major at once. I have received 3 degrees and am working on my fourth. Junior: SUSLA is a HBCU that believes in equality and socialism . Although no place is perfect , the Southern at Shreveport staff work hard to function as though the college is.
