College Senior: It was great, all the teachers care about you doing well and want you to exceed. It only becomes a problem when you start to fall behind, because you are handed project after project with no pause; the Creative Center is suppose to mimic a work environment. Because the CC only focuses on graphic design, you really get loaded with so much information about the field and all it's subfields. You pull out more work then you would attending another college or university is half the time! And the quality of work the CC students produce speaks for itself. Taking trips to the printers, design firms/ad agencies, along with trips to the art museums and the zoo for live drawing, you're not just stuck inside a classroom all day. The CC also gives you opportunities to meet with professionals in the field (besides your teachers, that must have a minimum of 15 years in the field in order to teach), with events like Meet the Pros, Portfolio Review Night, and give you the chance at mock-interviews and real on-campus interviews, too. Meeting with the pros in the field and getting feedback on my portfolio was by far my favorite experience attending the Creative Center. You also get a chance to enter competitions such as the Addys, and the AIGA, well known awards in the graphic design field (not to mention the CC is loaded with awards from those competitions, student sector.). If I had a choice to attend this school again, I would, if I knew graphic design is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. It's a great school for those who are certain that this field is what they want to make a career in.
