Freshman: So far it's been great! The staff is absolutely amazing and they are extremely helpful. The campus is also great and has many resources, fun activities, dining options ranging from pizza hut and even on campus Starbucks, and study areas. There are also a large selection of classes to take as well as clubs and activities. Pittstate offers flat rate tuition for all courses. Senior: My experience at MidAmerica has been rocky. The usual ups and downs as a student, however there are many great things about this university. Freshman: Wichita State University is a great start for someone who is looking for a college and lives around the Wichita area. I grew up in Wichita and have always had a hard time fitting in. But at Wichita State University, I feel like there are many places where I could connect with others who share similar interests. I plan to finish my degree with Wichita State University and look for more opportunities that are made easily accessible by the university. However, my problem with WSU is the surrounding area and it does not have many sports. WSU feels limited in the freedom of students because Wichita surrounds it. This makes it harder to experience "college life", especially when I have grown up here. Also, I know there are complications with sports here, but I believe that we can bring back an amazing football and basketball team that can compete in college sports leagues. Alum: Washburn feels like home to me. It is an amazing place to learn in small class settings and has a lively community of students of all ages and backgrounds. It is extremely affordable compared to other universities in the state and has some beautiful new additions to campus since I graduated. I was able to have a 1-on-1 relationship with all of my professors and that helped me better comprehend the materials I was being taught and made learning fun and easy, especially knowing I always had help if needed. The campus is picturesque and the living spaces are comfortable and inviting. Plus, they just added a new merit scholarship grid that is based solely on your high school GPA, so you can get a big scholarship right off the bat just for applying! I wish they had that when I attended, although I still paid off my education less than a year after graduating! It's a first-class education at an affordable rate and I can't recommend enough.... Freshman: I transferred to Baker University for the Spring semester (2021) and have absolutely loved it so far! The admissions department was understanding of my situation at my former institution and extremely helpful in getting everything in order for the transition. All of my credits from high school and my previous University transferred over and I was able to get into all the classes that applied with my major. Another thing I have noticed since being at Baker is how involved the student body is in different activities and events the Student Life Office and other school organizations, like Sororities, have throughout the week. My experiences have been only good with the administration and the people who run the school or buildings that are on campus. The workers here are always nice and very accommodating to every religion, and they understand the struggle that is going on with almost every student coming from the same background or something similar. You can feel do you love and want every student to graduate in almost every single employee here teacher. They know most things if not all of what to do in the specific area that they work in.
