Freshman: I don’t think there is anything I would change. Keiser University is a very attentive school that really cares for each student. They make sure your attending classes and also take away the hassle of getting ready for the next semester. Some of the counselors will call and check on students just to catch up and see how they’re doing. I don’t know any university that shows that kind of compassion towards students. Sophomore: One of the first things that drew me to TCC was its size. The classes are smaller, averaging around 30 students. It's much more personal than a university and it's made finding a community and accessing help much easier for me. My development of relationships with my professors has also gotten much better. They actually have time to meet with and counsel me instead of being swamped with 100 students a class. It's amazing. A few things I would like to see change include the upkeep of the campus. It's a bit dated. It almost feels like a time capsule back into the 90s which might be nice for some. However, they have started some excellent renovations in one of the student halls next to the bookstore which is promising. It would also be nice if the Financial and Cashiers offices showed more hospitality and kindness to their students. Attitudes there can often be bland and unconcerned. Senior: I have enjoyed my experience so much at Gulf Coast State College. The professors are all so nice and helpful, with very well designed courses. Sophomore: I'm a current student at EFSC finishing up my AA this semester. I am honestly having a truly difficult time trying to decide if I want to leave EFSC to transfer to UCF for my bachelor's degree. I have had very good experiences at EFSC, the Melbourne campus is so nice and I even get to work in the campus lab with the coordinators who are incredibly nice and fun! I have been accepted into EFSC's biomedical specialization bachelor's program as well as UCF's biology pre-med program yet I think I very well may turn down UCF in order to continue my education here at EFSC. Sophomore: Great affordable school! I started dual enrollment classes in 2018 when I was a sophomore in high school. By the time I graduated high school, I had earned half of my AA degree. That huge jumpstart allowed me to complete my degree at 19. Although registration and other resources can sometimes be a bit of a mess, the courses and many of the professors are great. I’ve done classes in-person at the Mueller campus, and then most of my recent classes were done completely online due to the pandemic. Graduate Student: The professors were excellent! I had many that engaged with their students, always ensuring the class was on everyone's level while also going at a pace where everyone understood the assignment. The professors also weren't pushy and didn't pile up work on students, they understood we had lives to tend to and made it manageable to work with. The school and faculty themselves also were elementary and forward going, if you had a question it would be answered, and if we had opinions about something they never went unheard.
