Alum: This school is full of wonderful people. There a lot of students from all over the world with a brilliant personalities. If you don’t fit in, they will help you to fit in and succeed. A lot of students from economically successful social groups in the third college generation. I witnessed freshmen who drive Maserati and Tesla. Some professors are incredible, polite and have a tendency to like all of their students and treat them like if they were their kids. The parking lots are great. You be late for 30 minutes before classes and always find a free spot. I’m so glad I graduated from that place. Beaches are nearby and it’s a beach life. If I will ever have kids, I will send them to CSULB instead of sending them to an expensive private college where they can experience bad influence from spoiled classmates or toxic environment of faculty and administration. Alum: Exceptional school with a tight knit community. The university has so much to offer, and provides students with the tools and resources to be successful. As a California native, I did consider the rain as a factor in my school selection process. My biggest piece of advice is try new things, join clubs, and meet people at the start of your college career. It is easy to work with the weather when you have a network of friends around you. Sophomore: Andrews University is exclusively known for diversity and inclusion. One of the best things about Andrews is the incredible community it has. You get to build incredible relationships with people from different backgrounds and learn so much about other cultures. The University would often create social programs to try to engage social interactions between different communities within the school. As an international student, my first year was pretty tough considering I was living in a community far from home. However, the relationships I built and the emotional/academic support I got from it was beyond a blessing. One of the reasons I chose Andrews was its science programs. Freshman: I am currently taking the EMS program along with a forensic science class through FVTC, and I enjoy it very much! While my classes are at the Public Safety Training Center, I am frequently on the main Appleton campus, and it is an amazing place. The culture and friendliness from the staff and students is welcoming and they will go out of their way to help you. The food on campus is pretty nice as well. They do something neat at the main campus for lunches, where the culinary students prepare meals for the students. As for the public safety building, it's also very nice and honestly, I feel everyone there is even nicer because you all have a common theme in your degree programs. The instructors are amazing, very funny and helpful, and have great teaching styles. The town behind the building also helps you to experience real life situations without being in the real world. Graduate Student: While the college it’s self was small the amount of students enrolled was quite a bit. Yet the classes felt more personal since the number of students was around thirty-ish, this made the transition from high school to college a bit easier. Freshman: Virginia Commonwealth University is a great school for those interested in the arts. I'm currently enrolled in the Art Foundation program and I've had an amazing experience. There's a wide variety of courses you can take, I even had the chance to take a class in glass blowing! There's a wide diversity in students here allowing you to learn from different perspectives. Sophomore: I enjoy going to FIT very much. As a creative, you are truly given so many artistic opportunities at this school. And despite the major that you initially choose you are able to take classes from other areas as well. I am a Photography major, but I also participate in Fine Arts(abstract painting and sculpting classes), Film & Videography, and even Jewelry Design classes. As a photographer they allow me to use all sorts of cameras and lighting equipment for free and that is very beneficial to my craft so I deeply appreciate such an opportunity.
