Alum: Rhode Island School of Design is a prestigious art school worldwide, and therefore it creates a community of cutting-edge student body and faculty. The friends and network I've met at RISD are life-long and will continue to be a source of inspiration and collaboration in the future. All the departments in the school are extremely challenging and require refined conceptual and critical thinking as well as technical skill. My critical thinking skills still serve me to this day, even for things that are not related to the arts. Really, the only negative thing I can say is that the school itself did not have courses to prepare me for post-graduation and entering the work force. At least at the time. Sophomore: As a current student of UNL, I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience. I am currently studying English and I have yet to have issues with any of the professors of this department. This college has a nice campus that is big enough to be spacious but small enough to know where everything is. There are so many amazing clubs and student organizations to be a part of on campus. Lincoln is a small city, but the Haymarket District is full of fun and is only about a 10 minute walk from campus! Junior: I have been at Foothill for almost three years now and throughout these past years I feel like I am very satisfied with my education here. To begin, the professors show that they care for their students by being flexible to meet with students one on one and they are very big on advocating for diversity within their classrooms. Sophomore: Andrews University is exclusively known for diversity and inclusion. One of the best things about Andrews is the incredible community it has. You get to build incredible relationships with people from different backgrounds and learn so much about other cultures. The University would often create social programs to try to engage social interactions between different communities within the school. As an international student, my first year was pretty tough considering I was living in a community far from home. Senior: College of the Ozarks is a working college, which means tuition is completely free. I gave this school a 4/5 because no college is perfect. It is difficult to juggle 15 hr work weeks, 15+ credits, attend mandatory convocations and chapels each semester, and also be involved with the community in your dorm, on campus, and the surrounding area; however, the benefits far outweigh the difficulties! Graduating debt-free is truly priceless, and the teachers and work supervisors I had there were exceptional. Graduate Student: Chapman was the first time I ever had a truly positive educational experience. One of the things I enjoyed about the school was how the student body is incredibly friendly, open to new experience, and almost always will lend a helping hand. For the most part, classes are smaller and professors are engaging. Almost all professors I had were really passionate about the subjects they taught and were more than willing to assist any students with questions. If you are a student with a disability, this school office of disability services is one of the best I have ever dealt with. Sophomore: Cedarville University is the real deal. If you are considering, you should absolutely, 100% go here. You would be surprised how possible that might be, definitely apply! To my experience so far (I have just finished my Freshman year), I would say it was very good overall. I am a Computer Science major, and the school is very hard at first, but you will absolutely get used to it (some majors are easy freshman year though) some not so much. The professors here are so amazing, class was literally my favorite part of the day. All were very willing to help during office hours, and all office hours fit into my schedule. People do get jobs here from what I have heard and seen and internships as well. People here all are ridiculously nice, think the nicest person you know, and that is everyone here. Sophomore: Based on my experience at DePaul, the academic programs, professors, and students have been amazing! Not only is everyone friendly, but connections between classmates and professors are also quickly made due to intimate-sized classes. We run on a 10-week quarter system so the course material will move at a quick pace. There are events for students to attend on the regular where students can get free university merch, food, and other things. Extracurriculars wise there are so many clubs and organizations to join. I believe some require payment and others are free. Other student resources, like tutoring or accessing the alumni network, are also available. Freshman: What is Ouachita Baptist University. Well, the obvious answer is that it is a university, but OBU is so much more than that. After attending Ouachita for almost a year now, I think I finally have my answer to that question. OBU isn't just your average university. Every aspect of Ouachita feels like it was done with care and appreciation for students and faculty alike. One example of this is OBU's professors. Unlike many universities, Ouachita isn't massive. This allows professor's to connect and teach their students on a personal level. Senior: My experience at Temple was amazing! I met my best friends that I will be living with after graduation. I got to take classes I loved, and I feel like I am leaving Temple with a well rounded education. I enjoyed living in Philadelphia so much. I really think living in North Philadelphia was a learning experience on its own.
