Other: During my time, in school, I wanted to challenge myself and get a headstart on college. So I decided to explore the option of enrollment at Montgomery College. The application process was quite demanding. I found it worthwhile because of the flexibility in class timings and the opportunity to earn college credits. Once I got enrolled I appreciated how flexible the class timings were, for example, my distance learning Film110 course. This allowed me to effectively tailor my study schedule according to my needs. The ability to earn college credits while in school turned out to be incredibly valuable as it reduced the burden of pursuing a degree in the future. The nurturing environment at Montgomery College along with professors who provided unwavering support throughout my journey made a difference. Junior: Hi! My experience at Howard Community College was "very good", and I appreciate the educational support from my professors. In addition, they help me understand certain college work, that I'm having trouble with. At the same time, I appreciate how were given a reasonable deadline for our college assignments. Which means that I have enough time to complete my work, before the deadline. Not to mention, the professors doesn't mind if students turn in their work in early, before the deadline. However, what I dislike from the college is when I resell college books to the college, and they didn't accept. Therefore, they need to show more loyalty, and honesty towards their textbooks or supplies policy. Freshman: My experience at Anne Arundel Community College was exceptional. From the start, the staff were very welcoming and helpful along my admission process and throughout my enrollment. It was a smooth application process, and my academic advisor was very transparent with me about everything. I was out of high school for about 5 years at the time when I attended Anne Arundel Community College, which made me feel like I was "behind" and just oblivious to the whole admissions process. Luckily, I was blessed to have chosen Anne Arundel Community College for my higher education. Not one professor, staff member, or student made me feel like my insecurities (as an "older" student) were justified. Even when I started my classes without obtaining all of my reading materials, I was welcomed and encouraged to keep going! Freshman: I was a first-year student at fcc during my previous spring semester. I've never been on campus before, which is great since it encourages me to meet new people and learning. A few deaf people I saw on campus have even said hello to me because I am deaf. He was very kind so I'm happy. I genuinely loved working with them. There are a lot of hearing pupils and a hearing lecturer in our class. It was weird for me to be the only deaf student in our class at first. In our first class, I encountered a student who knew sign language, which completely caught me off guard and made me very happy. My interpreters are fantastic, and I really appreciate how they support and ensure that I comprehend. I'd like to see changes, especially at Frederick Community College, where I'd like to see more eateries, cafes, universities, and deaf people.
