Alum: I love nearly everything about this school! The sports are great, there are major entertainment events, art and religion are honored, there are over 1,000 student organizations, and I have had incredible professors consistently throughout my years (although peers in other majors did not always say this). In the area, there is hiking, skiing, several summer festivals, several thrift stores, and a high proportion of restaurants with different ethnic cuisines. Recommendation for change are prioritizing updates to dorm buildings and increasing accessibility to groceries downtown, as this is where a large number of students live (without their cars). It has many international students, but is otherwise limited in diversity. It mostly reflects the state/region, so I do not see this as something that necessarily needs to change.... Senior: I LOVE Temple University! Most of my professors have been nice, fair, knowledgeable and even passionate about what they teach. Temple has a gym on campus, which offers group fitness classes including yoga, cycling, and meditation, included in tuition fees. The healthcare I received on campus has always been stellar. The Disability Resource Services offered have been stellar, and the 24-hour TECH Center is a pleasure to spend days in while studying and working on projects. Temple has an app now where you can request a chaperoned walk home in person or virtually, as well as a nightly shuttle that circulates around the edges of campus for those in off-campus housing. Our Marching Band was one of my favorite extra curriculars offering an annual stipend when you join and you get to perform synchronized dances to pop songs at home games on Philly Eagles turf at the LINC. You will not find a more friendly, welcoming campus than Marywood. You are encouraged to learn and train in your major, but also to experience classes that broaden your mind, deepen your perspective, and open you to new experiences. Senior: PSU-Erie is a wonderful school physically and community-wise. The school is just outside of the city and hidden by a plethora of trees and greenery. The plants and trees are well-maintained throughout the year. There is a lot of history at the school which can be seen in some of its paths and older buildings. The school is dedicated to student safety, mental health and success. It is always changing its buildings, activities and courses based off of what their students and families are suggesting. That in itself makes the school a 5/5 . My only issue with having gone to this school is that meal plans were very expensive and did not supply a proper amount of food for student sustenance. I am hoping this is something the school looks into and changes in the coming years. Be sure to tour your residents halls before accepting one! Niche User: I will be attending IU in the fall. Every experience I have had to date with IU has been nothing but exceptional! The guided tour was so thorough and informative and the tour guide was a recent graduate from IU who now is employed as well by Immaculata. He was so passionate and positive about all aspects of the campus and programs. I was able to spend the night in a dorm and shadow students. I participated in classes associated with Music Therapy and Music Education. It was a great experience. There was always someone waiting to take me to my next destination. It was such a smooth process and I really got a lot out of the experience. I honestly cannot wait to attend! I attended the "instant decision" day and that was where I learned that I was accepted and was officially the first student accepted for the 2023-2024 school year! Graduate Student: I hit a few bumps through my undergraduate program and had to take some time off from school. A few years later I returned with renewed vigor for my education.
