Junior: Brigham Young University has an outstanding uplifting atmosphere that I love! The professors are caring and understanding, and overall amazing at helping students reach their academic goals. The campus itself is gorgeous--making time in between classes a delight. One of my favorite things about BYU is their first year student mentoring experience. Each and every freshman is assigned to a mentor that they meet with throughout their first couple semesters. The mentors are also students so it is very nice to have some sense of camaraderie. What I also love about BYU is that everyone is friendly. Whenever I needed help a kind soul was there with a smile. Prayers before classes start and the devotionals each week really invite the spirit which only enhances my learning. Sophomore: I have been at the University of Utah for over a year, and I can confidently say I have made the right decision to study here. I am currently studying at the David Eccles School of Business and have the opportunity to travel to Dubai, Amsterdam, Canada, and more! The University of Utah offers many global learning-abroad opportunities. Broadening my view and knowledge of other cultures has helped me better grasp business and life in other countries. The professors I have interacted with so far have been extrmeley great at the topics they are covering. They all genuinely show passion for what they are teaching and emphasis how much they care about your education.The University of Utah has a beautiful campus on the eastern side of Salt Lake City. The campus is located 10 minutes from downtown and 10 minutes from the mountains and ski resorts. The campus has beautiful buildings and is located on a hill overlooking the city. Freshman: The community is small and inclusive, there are always events going on and ways to be included to meet new people! I’ve been living in the dorms and it has been a great experience. The food is very good for the most part and after scholarships (which most everyone gets) I have found it affordable with a simple job! Amazing classes here. All the teachers know you personally by the end of the class and are very kind when you are struggling. It feels like I’m at home here plus you get a scholarship for just being some programs like the art or music program. You also get a scholarship for returning each year. I’m hoping to finish my bachelors in 3 years since most my high school credits transfered. The best part is you are right in the middle of sugar house with a part right across the street and everything within minutes from you.
