Sophomore: The University of Arizona has been a transformative experience for me. Sophomore: ASU online is a self-paced learning environment. Professors upload pre-recorded lecture videos and assignments on Canvas, there is no set time that a student must log in to class. While I mentioned that the course work is self-paced, there is still deadlines to be met. My greatest struggle with this was time management. As a Starbucks shift supervisor, I work around 35-40 hours weekly. It was recommended by my academic advisor to allocate around 20 weekly hours per class. Professors were accomodating, help center was open 24/7, and there were so many resources available for online students. I struggled to practice self discipline and motivation, as no one was there to hold me accountable. Despite my struggles in time management and discipline, I was extremely satisfied with my experience in virtual learning! One improvement I'd like to see is an increase in student interaction. Freshman: I became a Ambassador and I gained experienced about leadership, it was such a fun experience and I never had any trouble with my classes! I spend most of my time working as an Ambassador and I learned how to communicate with others, as well as to manage my time in work and classes, I was still in high school when i was a full college student and I was also working at my high school and I manage to divide my time for both, the experience I gained was amazing, I am grateful that I had the chance to be part of this opportunity, my boss was always so supportive with my schedule and she was an amazing leader.... Sophomore: Fun, Fast, and up-to-date. I liked how easy it was to enroll in classes as a transfer student, I also liked that the college is free to anyone who wants to learn, I was in the process of graduating but I needed five classes to graduate but being a remote student some classes were only in class and not remote I could not do that at my old college but at TOCC I can take the rest of my classes I need to graduate so I can get my degree online....
