Junior: So far everything has been great! I love how they offer so much for the students to keep them busy with groups and extra activities, volunteer opportunities, programs to help with leadership growth, there is something for everyone! The events are fun and engaging as well! Not to mention the SWAG! Diversity and inclusion must have been invented here! Plenty of dining variety on campus and nearby as well. Safe campus environment, small urban city with plenty of historical local landmarks nearby. I love all my classes! I only wish that the catalog would not show classes that are not available!... Junior: I like the nature surrounding Bluefield University. Those mountains are not only gorgeous views, but they help the students to maintain their mental health well being. The academic curriculum is in a wide variety of choices. The students have options to fill other dreams and the opportunities to thrive to the highest level of education with all the support and encouragement. If there needs to be a change, I would say to build a specific lab for cybersecurity students so they can have the chance to further their knowledge not only in class but also in real life.... Sophomore: Thus far experience at ODU has been great! And I am truly learning a lot about myself and the different things that interest me within academics. My online experience has also been challenging yet manageable and my professors have been very supportive and helpful with anything that I want to know or need assistance with. I am currently active duty military and ODU is very military friendly as well. One of my favorite things about going to ODU is the fact that despite me being an online student, I still have full access to the main campus in Norfolk, which is absolutely amazing! Hopefully, if everything goes well I plan on obtaining my bachelors degree at ODU as well as my Master’s Degree. Right now I am currently taking an Art class and a math class for the summer and even though the classes just began I’m finding that I am enjoying my art class more than I expected which brings me back to the overall positive experience that I am having at ODU by finding new things that interest me....
