Junior: I chose BW because I fell in love with the campus, and I felt like I was at home when I stepped onto the campus for the first time. This campus is accepting of people from all backgrounds and has plenty of organizations like Allies, Black Student Alliance, and SALSA. The campus is also tiny, meaning that I can walk across from the very south of campus to the very north in about 10-15 minutes. It's also close to amenities like shopping and dining and is only 25 minutes from downtown Cleveland. However, I would like to see some changes. For one, there needs to be more parking for students, as the parking situation across campus could be better. I struggle to find parking for my car at any given time. The dorms also need some love, as most of them look like they last updated in the 90s. Overall, however, I love the campus, the faculty, and everything else about it. I would highly suggest BW!... Freshman: Kent State is an amazing school! They have great club academics and athletics that really cater to anyone's needs or dreams. As a poly science student I have an overwhelming amount of resources that help me in my studies, networking and making myself a better person. At first I had doubt about Kent State due to it living in the shadow of Ohio State University (I live in central Ohio near Columbus for reference.) But I was so wrong. The only thing I will say is that compared to urban universities it lack things to do BUT Kent is considered a suburban area school so for what it is it goes above my expectations overall. Other: I attended Owens for 4 semesters as a CCP student and really enjoyed my time there. I gathered 34 college credit hours before graduating high school and will be transferring them to a 4 year public university this fall. 26 of these credits were taken online and 8 were in person. The professors really cared and offered support, encouragement, and advice whenever they could. I loved all of my professors and met some really cool classmates. I highly recommend Cory Hoover for English courses and L. Scott Deaner for Human Geography as a general elective course. They were my favorite professors and I took 2 classes with each of them because the content was so interesting. I learned a lot during my time at Owens and met some great friends. It is definitely a different experience from public universities and there aren't a lot of student activities compared with bigger schools since the student body on campus is relatively small. Freshman: My experience with CSCC has been amazing. My professors are great and I’m excited about my future. Junior: Wright State University (Dayton campus) is an amazing institution. It is located in Fairborn, Ohio, and the closest big city is Dayton, although Columbus and Cincinnati are fairly close too. All of the professors I had during one semester there were amazing (majoring in psychology). The campus is beautiful, especially in the fall, and the school has underground tunnels for when it is cold or raining outside. The dorms are close to the campus, and for people with cars, there is parking available. There are a lot of international students. There are a lot of commuter students too, so the events on campus are not visited that much. However, they are awesome! There is a fitness and wellness program, with a swimming pool, group fitness classes, two gyms, and more. Wright State is one of the cheaper universities too, especially for locals. Senior: Wittenberg University is a small, private school with a great atmosphere. The campus is easy to get around and you're very likely to meet very friendly faces all over the campus. The school provides many resources for students for different needs such as mental health services and services that can help you write papers for a class. Another great aspect of attending this university is that the professors will always remember who you are, even if you've taken one class for the entirety of your four years. The classes are extremely small and the biggest classes that you will find will not surpass the capacity of 30 students. You're very likely to meet and keep so many friends because the atmosphere is so compassionate. We have multiple sports team like basketball, football, volleyball, etc. There is a huge variety of classes that you can take here so it is very likely that you can pursue your major here.
