Senior: I have enjoyed my time at Binghamton University. I am pursuing medical degree after my undergraduate and have received a lot of support from Binghamton's academic advising to make sure that I am on track. Taking online classes during the pandemic shut down was an interesting way to start my journey at Binghamton University, but they managed to adapt to changing circumstances and deliver impeccable educational content. Binghamton offers many ways to get involved with the research and outreach that the university is engaged in. For example, I am a part of two of the psychological research labs on campus. One thing that I would like to see change at Binghamton is more work opportunities and resources offered to students who are struggling financially. Graduate Student: I loved this college! I loved KBCC! Firstly, it has a great location with ample space for college events. The college organizes various events with games and food. Additionally, KBCC has its own art gallery where every student has the opportunity to showcase their artwork. The president may even purchase standout pieces for the KBCC art collection. Junior: Hello! My name is Cesia Arzu and I am a junior at SUNY Plattsburgh. This is a great college for those who want to be far from the city but want to still be in the state. This college is great overall regarding diversity, faculty, and students. My favorite part about attending Plattsburgh would be the clubs that we have and the events. The events are true to the students and are a way to connect and make new friends. One event that I absolutely loved was the Black Solidarity event that we had, there were food and conferences about the black and brown culture that you barely hear about. It was a great educational experience for those of color and those who just wanted to learn more about black and brown cultures. The Science Tutorial was my best resource for improving my grades. All profs offered office hrs and ensured their students do well. WCC offers refunds on dropped classes before a certain date. Take advantage if the class or professor doesn’t align with them. Take time to read testimonials of your professors before signing up for their class. Freshman: I believe Pace University has a strong sense of community as a result of all the varying activities offered on campus. Regardless of the date or time, there is always something to do. Whether it's painting tote bags with the art club or making build-a-bears with Black student union, Pace provides an exciting and welcoming environment. Freshman: This college is good for people looking to save money but still get all of the required classes done so they can succeed with their full potential at other colleges. Overall the college remains clean and there are great people to connect with if you can approach and talk with people. The food is ok in the cafeteria but i would recommend against it most of the time unless you are trying to stay on campus. The classes are small most of the time and are better if you go in person rather than online learning, the online learning feels disconnected and is not easy to get things fixed in a timely manner when you run into issues online. Senior: I was immediately attracted to Alfred State the moment I stepped onto campus for its size. It is small but not too small. The class sizes are perfect. The professors are able to give you more personal attention than a lot of friends receive at other colleges. The professors at Alfred State want you to succeed and will help you achieve your goals. The support of my professors has given me more confidence in myself. There is always something to do at Alfred State. Fall and football is my favorite time of year. Freshman: I'm an incoming Freshman at Hudson Valley Community College, starting later this month. I visited the school out of curiosity for their new Welding Technologies associate degree program. I found the campus and all the services offered to be great. The Welding lab, including the Virtual Welding equipment was excellent and well set up. By the end of my visit, I knew that I wanted to attend this school and I applied immediately. I will be able to really increase my welding skills and be better prepared for my career. The college made the application and registration process very easy, with most things taken care of online or by email. This helped tremendously since I have a full-time job and wasn't able to visit or call the school during my workday. Sophomore: I enjoy going to Suny Adirondack, as a current student I can say that the classes they offer are very interesting and fulfilling, though I've had a few run ins with faculty and staff and most of my issues were quickly resolved! The fellow students are all nice and pretty easy to get along with. While I do not live on campus, I have been in the dorms a couple times, they're pretty nice! I'm a huge fan of the room set up! As per college food, there's only 2 places to eat, and it's what you would expect from a community college. If you're really looking for something good to eat their Roast Beef sandwich is pretty good, and so are their chicken nuggets. The only downfall of this college is how unaccommodating they are towards their working students, I've butted heads with plenty of the staff in regard to scheduling meeting times after class hours to just get help on a homework assignment, or just to ask for more clarification on a paper we talked about in class. Sophomore: I really like the people and environment! SUNY Schenectady is always making an effort to renovate and improve their space for students, and the students there are all open and inviting. The professors are all super understanding and have your back 24/7! They have multiple spots on campus to get food and have open spaces to meet friends. They have a lovely space outdoors that is perfect to be between classes, and a new library with all the books and textbooks to help you with your academics. They also have free tutoring for pretty much every class! They offer in person and online tutoring. They even have free events throughout semesters with food, games, and raffles. The only thing I took of points for was that some professors are extremely hard graders (but you'll find them everywhere! No college is perfect).
