Sophomore: My experience at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln has been really great so far! The university has a lot of research opportunities, and being a psych student, has provided me with a truly enriching education. The faculty members have been great mentors, guiding me through my academic journey in psychology and inspiring me to push my boundaries and become more engaged. Junior: Union College was my first college where I applied to and got to experienced a new chapter. I got to experienced a friendship where you don’t need to be blood-related in order to be family! Here in Union College, I take Nursing major and so far it is great. I was able to experienced what it is like to be a nurse. Though there were ups and downs, I was proud to say that I am part of the Union College students. On the contrary, I have a disability of hard-of-hearing. In other words, I wear hearing aids on both ears. The disability department was really helpful in being able to make sure that every professor I have is accommodating. Sophomore: I attend Nebraska Wesleyan and I love my experience so far with the Communications department and Women’s Soccer! They do have a lack of diversity, because of the location and the cost of the school. I think besides lack of diversity it is a good school, just pretty expensive, so make sure to get your scholarships. Sophomore: Wayne State College has been successful in teaching me how to become an independent young adult. I enjoy the smaller classrooms and individual conversations we have as a class. Being in a smaller school is comforting and each class keeps each student involved. Wayne State provides access to many support systems. This is helpful as I suffer with more than one mental illness. Sophomore: Hastings College is an institution full of support, love and community. In my time at Hastings College, I discovered things about myself that I never would’ve known. The professors make you feel like you can ask for help at any time and this is because classes are as small as 3 people and as big as 30 people. The class sizes open up new opportunities for every student. One aspect I like about the college is that you can be a part of any club or organization offered on campus. You don’t have to know how to play an instrument to be a part of band because you of course learn and we always want to have fun. You can be on the tennis team while also being a part of student senate. The final aspect I like is how everyone on campus, even if you don’t know them, talks to everyone.
