Community support both for academics and athletics helps propel Emporia State. After we graduate, we are given excellent opportunities to pursue our careers and start internships, this is because professional worksites acknowledge how well Emporia State teaches their students and sets them up for success. With a student body not too big or too small, there are plenty of opportunities to make new friends. Along with making friends, students at Emporia State also create strong, positive relationships with their professors. The students and faculty at Emporia State University also support the athletic programs, and that results in success in many sports. Freshman: So far it's been great! The staff is absolutely amazing and they are extremely helpful. The campus is also great and has many resources, fun activities, dining options ranging from pizza hut and even on campus Starbucks, and study areas. There are also a large selection of classes to take as well as clubs and activities. Pittstate offers flat rate tuition for all courses. One of my personal interests are their exchange peograms that assist you every step of the way to make it possible! Senior: My experience at MidAmerica has been rocky. The usual ups and downs as a student, however there are many great things about this university. I enjoy the sense of community at the school, it can be slightly overwhelming due to the school's population. As for things I would love to see change is the finances for future students, for my years the school's price has constantly increased. Freshman: Wichita State University is a great start for someone who is looking for a college and lives around the Wichita area. I grew up in Wichita and have always had a hard time fitting in. But at Wichita State University, I feel like there are many places where I could connect with others who share similar interests. I plan to finish my degree with Wichita State University and look for more opportunities that are made easily accessible by the university. However, my problem with WSU is the surrounding area and it does not have many sports. WSU feels limited in the freedom of students because Wichita surrounds it. This makes it harder to experience "college life", especially when I have grown up here. Also, I know there are complications with sports here, but I believe that we can bring back an amazing football and basketball team that can compete in college sports leagues. Junior: I applied at friends university with out knowing where it was but when I went for a visit I immediately fell in love with the campus. Freshman: Central is a pretty good college to attend. It’s a smaller college population, but on the upside it allows for a more immersive and hands on learning experience. They also try to really welcome everyone with a number of activities before the semester starts. These activities include bowling, water park, etc. The staff is really helpful as well, everyone knowing everyone really allows for genuine interactions. Freshman: I’ve been here at Bethany-Kansas for have a semester and overall it’s been good to me here I play football here and even on my visit during the summer they took me in and made me feel home, and every since I’ve been on campus I’ve been welcomed in every building with open warm arms by coaches, professors, administrators and other classmates The campus is not the big at all, I find that very convenient because I’m not a social person so being able to be in classes with small amounts are very good for us getting help when needed, and all the buildings for classes and dining halls are all in great walking distance.... Senior: As a transfer student to Bethel College, I was shocked to experience such a culture of support and community that I was greeted with upon my arrival on campus.
