Featured Review: Junior says My time at Cal Poly has been amazing! The people, the weather, the quarterly-system (soon to be semester in 2026), the delicious food; all of it amounts to the perfect campus. The weather here is not too cold nor too hot. It almost never rains, but when it does, expect a huge shower. The students are nice. They even have a Discord server (”Cal Poly Friendos”) to hang out in. Featured Review: Senior says As a student of California State University Bakersfield, I really enjoyed the accessibility of resources and willingness to offer one-on-one help from many of the professors. They have a nice, welcoming student life and social outlets on campus as well as plenty of extracurricular academic activities and organizations to be part of. I do, however, miss the on-campus pub that has since been turned into a Panda Express which feels a bit more limiting for on-campus dining and social gatherings. Other than that, it’s a great choice for an overall academic experience!.
