Sophomore: My experience at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln has been really great so far! The university has a lot of research opportunities, and being a psych student, has provided me with a truly enriching education. The faculty members have been great mentors, guiding me through my academic journey in psychology and inspiring me to push my boundaries and become more engaged. The campus life is great and there are many student organizations and activities that have allowed me to pursue my passions and make new friendships. Junior: Union College was my first college where I applied to and got to experienced a new chapter. I got to experienced a friendship where you don’t need to be blood-related in order to be family! Here in Union College, I take Nursing major and so far it is great. I was able to experienced what it is like to be a nurse. Though there were ups and downs, I was proud to say that I am part of the Union College students. On the contrary, I have a disability of hard-of-hearing. In other words, I wear hearing aids on both ears. The disability department was really helpful in being able to make sure that every professor I have is accommodating. Sophomore: I attend Nebraska Wesleyan and I love my experience so far with the Communications department and Women’s Soccer! They do have a lack of diversity, because of the location and the cost of the school. I think besides lack of diversity it is a good school, just pretty expensive, so make sure to get your scholarships. Niche User: I absolutely love their Special Education and Elementary Education programs. The professors work so hard to place you in a field experience that is directly related with the classes you are taking. I am also a big fan of the campus just in general. It's a beautiful campus, and everything is close and in walking distance. Not to mention, everyone is so friendly to each other. When I took a tour of Concordia, everyone we passed said "Hello", or asked us how our day was going. It is very evident that the staff and students make an effort in investing in each others lives more then just within the classroom walls. It's a college where you are a individual and not just a name on a roster. I was very impressed with the entire atmosphere of Concordia, and the small school makes it very easy to get involved on campus and to meet new people and make lifelong friendships. Junior: I have loved every second of my time at Doane. I came from out of state purely based on the opportunity to play on the women's soccer team. I was honestly preparing for the worst but was pleasantly surprised when I got to Doane. The campus community is incredibly immersive and inclusive. It feels great to have everyone on campus know you and support you! There are many organizations to get involved with on campus including greek life, which means there really is a place for every kind of student. Academics are great, small class sizes and personable professors really set you up for success. Athletics can be hit or miss depending on the sport, I have really enjoyed the soccer program but have heard negative things about the softball and volleyball teams. The food could be better and there could be more communication between the administration and students. There is also a really high turnover wait for faculty which can be concerning.
