Freshman: This is an amazing school! I have met so many unique people here and as an out of state student, everyone is so welcoming. Greek life is pretty popular, but there is still tons to do if that is not your scene. The university does a great job at holding on campus events to get freshmen and honestly anyone involved! I am a nursing major and will say that the chemistry department is slightly lacking in terms of having professors that can adequately teach such rigorous courses. There are ways to get extra assistance though which is very helpful if you actually use it. The dorms are pretty average. The towers definitely have mold in them and provide your average dorm experience, whereas Cross is more of an apartment style dorm. I lived in the towers and loved every crazy moment of it! Freshman: UCO is a great college, it's accessible and affordable, offering many scholarship and aid opportunities for incoming and current students! I am a member of the musical theatre program and the professors are incredibly welcoming and everyone in the program wants to see you succeed. The student body is fairly diverse and very supportive of everyone around them, and the school offers many opportunities for engagement on campus through student organizations, greek life, etc. The campus resources are abundant including academic advisors that are always willing to help with questions and financial resource centers for both aid and payments. The campus is fairly good sized, though not too large that it is overwhelming to navigate, and is covered in greenery and inviting areas for students to congregate or have some time to themselves in the scenic area.
