Sophomore: What I love most about CSM is its prestige. If you want to major in STEM this is the place to go. I have had great experiences with the professors and the community in general at Mines. In only two years Mines has not only molded me for the professional world, but for life as well.
At this school, it's okay and even cool to be a nerd. Being surrounded by brilliant people has helped me become who I really am. Not only is the academic side amazing but so is the recreational and the athletics side.
Our athletics are A1 and are extremely fun to take a study break and watch. The athletes on campus are also smart, just like you, so they aren't like jocks.
The location of the school is great, within walking distance from downtown Golden which is amazing!

Alum: Like any place, CU has its upsides and downsides, but quite frankly the campus is large enough to find some incredible people and the professors do an absolutely amazing job teaching their respective subjects. Within the first couple weeks at the university I was able to join a student led parkour group on-campus which were my first steps in the hobby. Not only that, but I've met some truly passionate and engaging professors who were amazing at conveying their material. The professors really care about their students and I still correspond with a couple of them on occasion. The cherry on top is that the campus is beautiful! If you have a bike you can everywhere you need to be no time! The campus also have academic programs in the residence halls that lets students take otherwise large classes (200+ students) in groups of 20-30 student. Its a great school and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in a well rounded college experience.

Sophomore: I love DU and overall, I'm extremely happy with my college experience so far. The campus is beautiful. I love the proximity to both downtown Denver and the mountains. Many students are very involved on-campus in sports and various clubs. In terms of academics, classes are challenging and the quarter system is fast-paced. I have found students at Korbel to be more competitive, for better or worse. In general, my professors have been fantastic! They're extremely dedicated and most have been easy to connect with. Small class size helps with making connections. For cons, I wish the student body was more diverse and dining hall food could be much better.

Freshman: Overall I think that the school is a great choice for students who's primary focus is academics. They have a variety of options for classes (online or in-person) and additionally, have teaches who use different teaching styles (flipped classroom). Furthermore they have excellent advisors, who are always available to help and even provide resources. The school focuses and works on being and educating students on diversity and equality. Lastly, it is a great school for anyone who lives in the area as they have many options for commuting (drive and park, RTD pass which includes busses and the light rail). However, they do not offer a wide variety of competitive sports, and have limited dorms.
