Sophomore: My experience at San Jose State University has been great. The majority of staff goes beyond expectations to help their students succeed in everything and anything they may need, although responses from the College of Science can take some time. The professors put their student's best interests at heart, and I have learned valuable lessons that will benefit my life well after I graduate from University. The professors always vocalize the help that they provide their students if assistance is needed to better comprehend subjects. The students are also a joy, and most of the students I encountered are super friendly. Sophomore: Support for students is always available as long as they look for it. There are always opportunities for students to be active on campus, especially by joining clubs and holding officer positions. I like how supportive the environment is. Fellow students are pretty supportive of each other, most professors are approachable and always happy to help, tutors are available both in the Learning Center and STEM Center, and even the Deans, Vice Presidents, and (Acting) President are always happy to talk to students and even know some by name. Scholarships are also available and well-promoted each year. Sparkpoint Center also provides students with free groceries and housing support. Health and Wellness Center provides professional and mostly free physical and mental health support. They always ensure that students pay as little as possible for their treatments....
