Alum: This is a fantastic community college! Classes are very affordable compared to larger colleges, and if you don't have the funds to pay for tuition at the beginning of the semester, the Financial Aid office will help you find a solution. Furthermore, RRCC offers a wide variety of online, in-person, or hybrid classes to suit your schedule, and most of them are guaranteed to transfer to other colleges in Colorado. The professors are very supportive and want you to succeed with your academic goals. Plus, I prefer the small class sizes here over the larger, more intimidating classes at state universities. Also, it has great facilities and resources including a brand new student rec center, an IDEA lab to introduce students to engineering, the Arvada campus dedicated to the health sciences, a bookstore, and a coffee shop. Sophomore: I have had a great experience at Front Range! My professors take time to ensure each student understands the curriculum, and are very supportive and accessible. There are also many career opportunities at this school for students who may need the extra financial support. In terms of improvement, I believe Front Range can create more informative events on all the different programs they offer because there are many many programs which means there are also many questions that may not be as easy to find online. Freshman: I took a huge risk traveling from Las Vegas to be admitted into MSU, and I am so glad I attend this university! I’ve enjoyed it so far, and have met some lovely people. I enjoy the resources the university offers and take full advantage of it as well, such as tutoring, the health center, and the gym! A change that would be greatly appreciated by myself and many of my peers is regards to the FAFSA. I have tried to take advantage of the resources but in the grand scope of things, I still have a difficult time being able to pay my tuition since I am an out of state student. I deeply feel if there were more opportunities for students like me to have a guideline or plan to be able to pay tuition confidently. Freshman: Overall I have had a fantastic experience with Community College of Denver. From the very beginning after submitting my FAFSA, to picking my degree plan, through enrolling in classes, they have been quick, efficient and very helpful. I did run into a small hiccup at the very beginning as I had originally filled out my application for the Fall/Spring semesters of the 23-24 year; however, I quickly changed my mind and wanted to begin taking classes as early as the Summer 23. While this may not have caused me any trouble if I had selected the correct major from the start, I ran into some trouble after changing from doing a certificate plan straight into the AAS degree plan, and it took some finessing to fix my enrollment to correctly show the degree plan, and therefore allow financial aid to cover my classes. Graduate Student: I have been a student of the CCA since January 2021 up until Summer of 2023 when I completed my associates of science degree. I still have ambition to continue my education at the establishment as a graduate student since I am only a senior in high school who has been able to use the dual enrollment system to its full potential. The college has a wide variety of courses to choose from with many also being available online for convenience. CentreTech Campus offers you many useful resources while Lowry Campus contains locations specialized for certain types of education such as medicine or photography. The college also has a very diverse culture which makes social bonding an essential aspect of the experience. The professors have a good understanding of the concepts they teach and will support you in case you are struggling with course material.
