Sophomore: I think John Wood Community College is the nicest most well-put-together community college I've ever seen. Besides the fact that the campus is incredibly beautiful and clean, the education here has no comparison to other 2-year colleges. 99% of all instructors I've had I've enjoyed, mostly because I can tell they're all super passionate about the subject they teach. In particular, the philosophy classes are just enthralling. Matt Carey is the best instructor I've ever had and opened my eyes to my love of philosophy. I'm considering minoring in philosophy because of how wonderful those classes are. The staff here that are not instructors are always so passionate and helpful, always being able to help no matter the problem. It is incredibly cost-effective and there are so many scholarships available that a lot of students I know go here for free. I recommend this college to anyone who asks. Freshman: Kish seems to be a very nice school to get around and see if on what you are trying to get into. If you are just doing a 2 year or wanting to transfer they seem to know what to do! Sophomore: Kaskaskia college was an amazing college to attend and had many good qualities. Kaskaskia college is one of the cheapest 2 years colleges you can attend with high overall graduate rates. Kaskasia's value is about 6,000 per year unless you get a scholarship, which most students get. Kaskaskia has an amazing music program that is not only cheaper, but has many opportunities involved as well. This previous year all choir members got to attend a first ever recording of an english version of Beethoven's ninth at the school of music, SIUC Carbondale. The teachers at Kaskaskoa college are also extraordinary. They are all kind, patient, and very gifted at what they do. Kaskaskia is a wonderful college for both cost and quality. Graduate Student: My overall experience was amazing at olive Harvey. A community that is very helpful and helped me get into honor society’s and professors who seen the best in me and pushed me to my greatest I can be that believed in what I can do. A college that had lots of events to help out student who struggled to pay for school such as job fairs and work study Jobs. Those job fairs sure did help me make some good money on the side for my life essentials and school needs I did need. Olive Harvey has great professors, counselors, great help in the offices for anything you can possibly need help with.
