Sophomore: Aiken Technical College has provided a one stop shop for pursuing my Nursing degree. While taking my Pre-requisite courses online I was able to work and provide for my family. Now I have been accepted into the RN program for my associates degree. Their partnership with The University of Phoneix allows me to pursue my BSN by taking classes during the breaks ATC has. Sophomore: Horry-Georgetown Technical College is perfect for studying a specific subject you are passionate about pursuing professionally or just gaining your standard academic credits (English, Math, Science, Social Studies, History, etc.) to transfer them to a 4-year university. The academics here are great and the courses are quite flexible in terms of times of day and campus, whether that be in Georgetown, Myrtle Beach, Conway, or online. There is also a decent amount of diversity, and the prices are the best I've seen in the education world. If I could change anything about the college, I would increase student engagement, but Phi Theta Kappa is currently working on a student lounge to promote that! Other: I love attending Trident Technical College. This college has the resources needed for every student to become successful in the career path of their choice. Sophomore: Took most of my prerequisites online and had a pretty good time adjusting. Online classes, I wouldn't recommend for people that aren't the best with computers or have a hard time learning computer stuff quickly. Your classes will be online still even if your in person but you'll have actual class time compared to recorded lectures or zooms throughout the week. The staff has been very helpful and usually answers their emails quickly but sometimes they can't answer the question or don't respond as fast as a student may want and your SOL and have to figure out things on your own. You want to be on top of your schedule cause you may not get emails on things to remind you and you may get help from an advisor for a new class and haven't been fully signed up because you needed to review it yourself. Senior: I've loved my experience on campus and online! All staff is nice and helpful. The campus is always clean. My personal financial aid advisor has made my recent college experience a breeze. She’s answered my questions regarding classes at midlands tech as well as class at the college I plan to go once I graduate from Midlands Technical College. I love that I have been able to take classes at Midlands Tech that will transfer to Columbia College towards my degree in Social Work. It’s very helpful because not only are they more financially suitable, I can already begin working on my 4 year degree which will lessen my time once I officially begin. Senior: I am currently a dual enrollment student for York Technical College. I enjoy the wide variety of classes that are offered. Before applying, I only heard of how it was a great college for my major(nursing), nothing more. I expected my classes to possibly be difficult but they were actually easy and positively challenging. I genuinely have enjoyed and learned from my current school experience while taking these classes. Something I would change is their ability to offer more school-related scholarships on their website.
