Freshman: MCPHS is my first step into applying for medical school. The school gives great opportunities to students who are looking to go into the medical field. My experience at this school is great! What I like about this college is that the professors engage with students individually to help them succeed. The college has many different departments that can help you with any need when applying for a job, doing an internship, or wanting to change majors. The classes aren't that big either, except for the lectures. As well, there are great dorms on campus. Which are located at or nearby the school. Alum: MWCC is an excellent community college. My experience of attending was primarily online and in the art department so I am not exactly the perfect person to give a full overview however what I have gotten the chance to view firsthand was delightful. The students and faculty are a very close-knit group who are extremely friendly and welcoming to everyone. The trio/advising department is accommodating and genuinely cares about you as a student, even after you graduate they are welcome to continue giving advice and checking in on you. Alum: I was a dual enrollment student at MCC for almost three years. I studied only virtually for my degree. It was a great experience. The staff and faculty in general were super helpful and supportive of the students. Something that could be improved is with the online classes, there’s really not much chance to get engaged with the MCC community. It’s hard to hear about new events and activities going on unless you somehow have a very close relationship with your professor. If you do happen to hear about events , programs, etc and get involved in other activities, it’s a very great learning experience and a chance to build your network. So my only suggestion for future students is if you do happen to take online courses, make sure you constantly ask classmates and professors about different opportunities available that you may be interested in. Freshman: Coming from Ghana and choosing QCC is the best decision I ever made. Initially I was nervous because I was in a new country and being black I was just contemplating. I absolutely love quinsigamond community college because of the amazing community of people here. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, and there's always something fun going on. The professors are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects, and they really care about their students. The campus is beautiful and well-maintained, with plenty of green spaces to relax and study. There are also tons of opportunities to get involved in clubs and organizations, and I've made so many great friends through these activities. Overall, I feel like Qcc is the perfect place for me to grow and learn, both academically and personally. Alum: I went to Regis undergrad nursing and graduated 5.5 years ago. I had lived in campus and had a wonderful time. It is a small college but that appealed to me because I didn’t want to be in a lecture hall with 400 other people. My biggest class size was about 35 people and it was a lecture course. There was a pretty good array of extra curricular activities for those like Me that don’t do sports. I enjoyed campus ministry and in my freshman year, I was a part of the theatre troupe and put on the play Godspell. I do wish there had been more plays or musicals during my time. The biggest problem during my time there was the food. The dining hall struggled to provide good nutrition but by my senior year they had hired a new company and were making good strives to fix it. There was also a Dunkin’ on campus which was awesome and then the LSU had a grill and premade meals. Graduate Student: Amazing experience with so much support from professors and staff. I have grown so much and learned so much during my time at 4C's. This is a college that celebrates diversity and students represent a plethora of different backgrounds, ages, and circumstances. I felt that the majority of staff were helpful, supportive, caring, and understanding. However, the campus is quiet and lacks student engagement.
