Senior: It's a wildly diverse school, both for high school and college students. While school hours overlap for the two groups, college and hs students rarely interact, and it's encouraged we don't interact at all. There's good financial support and many classes to aid those with sensory disabilities and a few ESOL classes too. You can tell the teachers really care about their students. No athletic department or dorms, since it's simply a technical college. They prepare you for a job straight out of schooling, though, and there are apartments and houses all over the area. The food is FANTASTIC, the culinary program makes all of the food fresh every day, and they hire experienced people to help with said food. There's also Papa John's pizza and vending machines everywhere, so for such a small school, it's impossible to go hungry.... Read 20 reviews

Works Here: Atlantic Technical College is the best school that students can ever dream off. Staff and teachers are so compassionate well trained and talented to help students meet their academic and career goals. In addition, most of the programs offered at ATC are between 6 months-12 months, which helps students obtain their certification in timely manner and get in into the workforce. Let's not forget that most of the programs offered at ATC have an articulation agreement with Broward College which allows students to transfer an amount of credits toward their AS of BS degree at BC. Freshman: The LPN program i’m in is very challenging, as well as fast-paced, however, i appreciate that my education is being taken seriously by the professor, who does her absolute best to make sure her students gain as much knowledge and insight as possible. Sometimes it feels like punishment with her assigning what us students would call “busy work” but she’s only properly preparing us for what we are gonna have to face as nurses, and i greatly appreciate her for doing so. The school building itself could use a bit of repairing, especially in the clinical skills lab room, and some new mannequins and stimulation equipment for the students would be nice as well. Graduate Student: The professors were excellent! I had many that engaged with their students, always ensuring the class was on everyone's level while also going at a pace where everyone understood the assignment. The professors also weren't pushy and didn't pile up work on students, they understood we had lives to tend to and made it manageable to work with. The school and faculty themselves also were elementary and forward going, if you had a question it would be answered, and if we had opinions about something they never went unheard. The campus itself was very safe, I never had any issues of being scared to walk from the building to my car, and I made friends very quickly and connected well too. People on campus were non-judgemental, very open, very spirited, and fun to laugh and hang around with! Great school and I would 100% recommend it to anyone going to college for the first time! Freshman: I think Broward College gets a bad rep of being an old, stinky community college. The truth is, it is very modern and up-to-date with the best resources to help and aid their students with their specific career pathways! I wish however, that they would change their image so it is more aesthetically pleasing to people who hear about this college!
