Freshman: Nice campus, engaged community! Excellent vocal music program and campus life experience! The large on-campus population in a small town makes for a uniquely valuable social growth opportunity for students coming into college. Small class sizes ensure students are able to be given the one on one interaction time that all data shows to be beneficial. I was a student here and met friends from all walks of life, from around the country who I'm friends with 20 years later. The staff and faculty care about the success of their students, both academically and personally. Like any college experience you will get out what you put into it, but Highland truly offers a unique opportunity for growth during those transition years of a traditional student coming from High School and going on to a 4 year. I'm also very impressed with how much the technical programs have grown and evolved! Or maybe I just didn't know how cool they were before. Either way, the school is a very amazing experience... Sophomore: So far, I've had a great experience attending this college. The environment was nice, and I had the opportunity to attend all of my classes that were on campus with no problems. This college also allowed me to attend classes in the evenings and online. I liked that because I work during the day, and they could adjust my class to my work schedule. I also like the variety of career paths that DC3 offers, and it expands opportunities for each of the students attending here. Freshman: I thought that I would be able to attend this college with no hiccups, but there have been a few bumps in the road. I have no problem with the teachers and staff that work at FSCC, but I have had a hard time figuring things out. I live off campus in my own apartment and rent can get crazy, it fluctuates according to my income, so I cannot always save money aside to pay off my debt. They never got my theater scholarship application so I now have to wait while they process it to get my books for my classes this semester.
