Junior: Slippery Rock has been an amazing college so far and I have enjoyed my time here. I transferred into their program as a second-semester sophomore. They worked with me to accept and transfer all of my existing credits and provided me with two scholarships for my first year. Their campus accommodations including food, housing, and leisure have been diverse and easily accessible. I would love for Slippery Rock to provide more parking. They also have extensive on-campus healthcare options, and a gym for wellness opportunities. Due to the size of the campus, it is easy to make friends and interact with teachers on a one-on-one basis. However, the campus is still large enough that there's always someone new to meet, and the ability to avoid people you don't like! Junior: I am a junior in Duquesne's nursing program and I cannot say enough good things about this school, at least academic wise. Professors know your name and genuinely want to see you succeed. Classwork is challenging but always helps me learn. Clinicals start early and help you feel confident in your skills by the time you enter your immersion. The campus is beautiful and in an excellent location that has allowed me to work a part-time job since my freshman year even without a car on campus. The food leaves a lot to be desired, which I why I mostly cook for myself now, as do the freshman dorms, but if you can get into Brottier or St. Martin's as an upperclassman, you're set. There are plenty of clubs and organizations on campus that have allowed me to meet friend and even serve in leadership roles. Freshman: My first overall experience at Bloomsburg was enjoyable! Most upperclassman and factuality were very nice and informative. Many of them help out when I had questions. Many of them were extremely generous and kind when I asked them any type question. I enjoyed how everyone was so helpful, as well as how beautiful the campus and town is. Its a small town which is the perfect walking distance if you ever want to go to town. Niche User: I have been in the nursing department for a BSN and the only thing I can say is that I am glad I chose this school. At Waynesburg they will teach you the med surg classes, Pathophysiology, pharma etc. But the difference is that they make you think. If you want to be a smart nurse who will keep learning and who will be pushed to be the best nurse as possible, pick Waynesburg. I am glad I did. I work as a nurse now and I have been making great decisions in my shifts - picking up on cues when patients needed higher level of care, emergent interventions etc. That is thanks to Waynesburg! Junior: I have never had an experience in a school like I have when I got to college. I debated on what college I would attend but when the decision day had finally come around I knew I made the right choice to attend chestnut hill college. it is one of the safest, cleanest, nicest environments with great educators and staff. I would not have attended another school because I fit right in at chestnut hill college. It did not take long to connect with people. The curriculum is not horrible and everything makes since why certain classes are put into the curriculum or into a schedule for students because its what the state and the school require. Alum: Valley Forge Military College provided me with a great start toward my BS degree. It also prepared me to be an adult in a professional world. As a Justice & Securities major, the professors leading the classes had first-hand experience in law-enforcement and government bringing direct knowledge to the classroom. Moving to my follow-on school, I found the knowledge base acquired at VFMC put me well-ahead of my peers. I made life-long friends, enjoyed apartment living, good food from a nutritious buffet, and was fully prepared to finish by BS degree and enter the workforce. As a Citizen Leader student – one not serving in the military -- the program structure challenged me to become the best version of myself.
