Sophomore: Many people have there thought about a college or university and just like everyone else I had mine. I thought that college was not going to be anything like high school when it came to how the teachers care about you and for you. Coming from a small town, Rend Lake College was like home away from home. The faculty at Rend Lake College are the most caring people that you will ever find. I am a student-athlete at Rend Lake which means I have to miss class every now and then for games and the professors are so understanding when it comes to turning in homework or taking a test. Freshman: I love John A Logan College. It has so many student benefits and activities to offer as well as scholarships. Most of the staff is the most kind and friendly and always willing to help. Student life is great here as there are lots of ways and opportunities to socialize and find new friends. Online courses have always been difficult for me especially here I would suggest in person learning if you have the time for it you will comprehend the information much better and make good grades.... Freshman: All my teachers are very friendly and willing to help his or her students with any problems they may have and some of the teachers are even willing to help the student if they are struggling by setting up a meeting, meeting after class, helping during class time, or even helping you find a tutor with our program. The college even offer 24/7 assistance to students that may struggle with their mental health, such as depression or anxiety. I have not had any issues with the teachers or students. My teachers take their time while teaching and they are very understanding. My college also has places for you to sit throughout the school and even a student lounge, which I find to be nice and handy at times when I’m waiting for my next class. We have a computer lab and even study rooms that block out extra noise so the students can concentrate better. There’s a meditation room and even a daycare included in my school. Freshman: My experience here has been excellent. Amber is always so sweet and helpful. I know quite a few people that have gone here previously me I honestly did always here the best things so I was skeptical. But thankful I was pleasantly surprised. From the very beginning application process, to the tour, to class this school has been wonderful. I especially love the bulletin board they have that shows you all of the local salons and spas that are hiring. They also do a reverse career fair type deal where local salon and spa owner can come to the school and interview you and preview your work and such on and so forth. I think that will be very beneficial when it comes down to the end and I am on the hunt for a job. This was I will have met a lot of local business women in my area of expertise and I will be able to have a better idea of what each different place has to offer. Graduate Student: I am a graduate from EOB, and I had a great experience. EOB Has great staff. They want you to succeed, and the financial department is super helpful, accommodating, and fast. the building is also awesome. new classrooms, nice stations, ect. The kits are also nice but the makeup kits are very minimalistic. If you’re a people person and you have drive and motivation to get your hours done you will do well. The Rockford area is definitely not my favorite but the school itself is nice and I would recommend my friends to it. 4/5 stars because they let too many students start school at one time so it hurt the 1 on 1 education very hard between educators and students. I also give this rating because I feel some of the classroom time is rushed. Not enough to fall behind or fail tests, but enough to make you stressed out. You’ll get thick skin here, you’ll get inspired, and you’re gonna wanna punch your stupid clients in the face LOL. Definitely enroll if you’re on the fence.... Read 1 review
