Freshman: I am currently a freshman at Creighton University. From the short time I have been there, I have seen that the community there is kind and caring. I have met many wonderful people that have made the change from home to college easier. People there truly care about you and will help you with any of your concerns. Aside from the people, the campus is small which helps one get to classes quickly from your dorm. It also allows you to get to know campus better and make stronger and lasting relationships. There are several clubs you can join. Currently I am in the EMT club which has allowed me to meet people who are interested in majoring in Paramedicine, but also get to learn some skills that will benefit you once you start EMT classes. I also work at the library which has given me another chance to meet new people and bond with my co-workers. Overall, my experience at Creighton University has been challenging but also exciting. Sophomore: I attend Nebraska Wesleyan and I love my experience so far with the Communications department and Women’s Soccer! They do have a lack of diversity, because of the location and the cost of the school. I think besides lack of diversity it is a good school, just pretty expensive, so make sure to get your scholarships. Niche User: I absolutely love their Special Education and Elementary Education programs. The professors work so hard to place you in a field experience that is directly related with the classes you are taking. I am also a big fan of the campus just in general. It's a beautiful campus, and everything is close and in walking distance. Not to mention, everyone is so friendly to each other. When I took a tour of Concordia, everyone we passed said "Hello", or asked us how our day was going. It is very evident that the staff and students make an effort in investing in each others lives more then just within the classroom walls. It's a college where you are a individual and not just a name on a roster. I was very impressed with the entire atmosphere of Concordia, and the small school makes it very easy to get involved on campus and to meet new people and make lifelong friendships. Junior: I have loved every second of my time at Doane. I came from out of state purely based on the opportunity to play on the women's soccer team. I was honestly preparing for the worst but was pleasantly surprised when I got to Doane. The campus community is incredibly immersive and inclusive. It feels great to have everyone on campus know you and support you! There are many organizations to get involved with on campus including greek life, which means there really is a place for every kind of student. Academics are great, small class sizes and personable professors really set you up for success. Athletics can be hit or miss depending on the sport, I have really enjoyed the soccer program but have heard negative things about the softball and volleyball teams. The food could be better and there could be more communication between the administration and students. There is also a really high turnover wait for faculty which can be concerning. Freshman: When I took my first visit, I instantly fell in love with the campus. The seasons changing from Summer to Fall, it felt like a movie how perfect it was. Meeting the facility and different professors everyone had the same positive energy, everyone was happy to be working here. My first week of college was full of events had different freshman orientation, but they weren't the stereotypical events. The event put on by Hastings College were fun, interactive, and a great was a great place to meet new people. Every student and staff seem to be very happy here and are enjoying going to class. When my first week of class began, I was at first nervous, but those nerves were quickly dismissed. The small class sizes allowed me to easily form relationships with other students and my professor.
