Alum: My time at Cuyahoga Community College was excellent. I highly recommend this college to everyone. It was my first college to attend and figuring everything out about college was overwhelming but everyone there is so nice and welcoming. The counselors there are very knowledge about the different degrees, majors and universities if you plan on transferring. Getting financial aid was a smooth process because the experts will walk you through each form that needs to be completed. I also felt helped with registering for classes, tutoring and navigating blackboard because the resources they have are vast and accessible. Another thing I love about Cuyahoga Community College is the range of available classes they offer. Junior: I chose Hocking College because I wanted to pursue a career in woodworking. Fortunately, the college offers a major in Cabinetry & Architectural Millwork which fits the bill very well. The college has mixed performance when it comes to their financial aid department, sometimes being unclear and difficult to communicate with, but the overall tuition is low on average across the board. They offer quality dorms (on & off campus), even allowing students who apply quickly when spots open up to move into single rooms and avoid having to share their living space. The advisors do a good job of helping us students plan a schedule based on our availability and semester-credit requirements as well. I would like to see the financial aid department improve, along with how the college handles the honor society PTK, but I think these are minor issues since they can be tackled without much fuss....
