Alum: I went the large D1 state college route right out of high school, and with the large lecture hall style classes, it was hard to find time to talk with professors. At UCM, professors are really dedicated to your success, going far beyond anything I had experienced at the state college level. With some of the more difficult classes that I had, I was able to meet with professors outside of class on a fairly regular basis and connect on more of a personal level, something I thought would be lost after high school graduation. This was incredibly essential to my success. The campus size was also a great benefit. While I was a little hesitant attending a college that had a campus smaller than the family hog lot, I grew to love this aspect. It made for smooth transitions into new semesters with new class locations, and allowed me to condense my daily scheduled time on campus to allow more time for studying and extra curriculars. Sophomore: My experience at State Tech has been very professional. The professors care about you succeeding and are always willing to help. They took the time to help me transfer programs and gave me all the necessary paperwork in a timely manner. Sophomore: I have really enjoyed going to school here! The teachers are friendly and very helpful. The teachers are all very easy to follow and will readily work with you if needed. There is also a multitude of available tutors. This school is also great for those who work full-time, I have taken several of their later classes which makes it much easier for me to get my hours in at work. I attend the Columbia campus, which is part of a building complex with a few other schools or businesses in it. There isn't any housing and the area isn't always the safest, but there are many stores and restaurants around which makes it easy to get other errands done around my classes. Junior: This college is awesome! I honestly saved more money financially and didn’t take any loans out. The teacher are amazing and very understanding when it comes to you and your work problems. I personally would recommend this college, many will say it’s basic to go to a community college but when you graduate ask them if it was basic after they have taken all those loans after you have taken none out! Your experience here in OTC will be fun! More hands on in whatever field you choose and also remember it’s more faster then a bachelors. Freshman: Being an international student, I was worried that I was going to be a misfit and feel so miserable in college! But the Lindenwood campus is diverse, friendly and very welcoming. From the students to the staff, you are always surrounded by love and kindness. Another thing I lobe is that the school spirit is always fostered and promoted by the various activities hosted on campus as well as the different sporting activities. There is a wide range of sporting clubs to join and you can easily find where you belong. One thing I would lobe to see changing about Lindenwood University is the food. There are only two dining halls on campus which limits the variety of food. With time, you get tired of eating the same food! Also international students do not have a lot of funds allocated to them, I hope we as a school can attract more donors so that international students can get good scholarship packages.... Junior: What I like about Saint Louis Community College is that there are very good teachers and and understanding staff. Saint Louis Community College is also affordable for the most part compared to other universities or schools ! Freshman: I was hesitant to come to the university. It's a PWI that is known for parties and athletics drama. But I'm glad I came. This school offers so many hands-on experiences with some of the best professors you'll ever meet. They allow career prospects some schools won't even give to you, and they do it for free while also providing an enriching and somewhat lovely experience. Freshman: Attending Moberly Area Community College Online was not my first choice and honestly an unexpected turn in what I thought my path to higher education would be. Although I didn't plan on attending a 2 yr college first, its been a great journey thus far. There are quite a few positive aspects to this including getting gen-eds out of the way. There have also been quite a few hurdles to get to this point but the college is honest and supportive, especially taking into account advising is over the phone or online zoom meetings! Any and every question I've had has been answered in addition to issues with classes or classmates being resolved. Its a great starting point for those in the area to pursue whether online or in person. They work with you to discover your goals and pursuits and apply classes that meet those as well as your interests and requirements for the degree.
