Freshman: Sheridan technical is a great school. Most of my friends have studied there and told me that the teachings at the school is very impressive. They offer certificates and degrees in various fields of studies. I am going to be majoring in Information Technologies and my advisor has been awesome. She has made the registration process so easy and has been very helpful. Personally I would recommend this college to anyone, especially now that we are living in a day and age where a bachelor degree is not needed for most careers. Senior: It's a wildly diverse school, both for high school and college students. While school hours overlap for the two groups, college and hs students rarely interact, and it's encouraged we don't interact at all. There's good financial support and many classes to aid those with sensory disabilities and a few ESOL classes too. You can tell the teachers really care about their students. No athletic department or dorms, since it's simply a technical college. They prepare you for a job straight out of schooling, though, and there are apartments and houses all over the area. The food is FANTASTIC, the culinary program makes all of the food fresh every day, and they hire experienced people to help with said food. Graduate Student: Hi, I am currently a student at Keiser University and I plan to graduate in 2024 with my associates degree in Medical Assisting in Science. My overall experience so far has been amazing! Each course is fully explained from the instructors and the course content is enjoyable to learn. I find navigating the course content online super simple and grades are always posted promptly. Keiser University has given me every opportunity so far to excel towards success. Personally, I struggled figuring out how to navigate between student portals and the course work my first week and the staff at Keiser University was there to guide me through all the steps and took the time to explain everything to me. The counselor even called to check that I was getting the hang of everything here and there my first month. Staff and teachers are so compassionate well trained and talented to help students meet their academic and career goals. In addition, most of the programs offered at ATC are between 6 months-12 months, which helps students obtain their certification in timely manner and get in into the workforce. Freshman: The LPN program i’m in is very challenging, as well as fast-paced, however, i appreciate that my education is being taken seriously by the professor, who does her absolute best to make sure her students gain as much knowledge and insight as possible. Sometimes it feels like punishment with her assigning what us students would call “busy work” but she’s only properly preparing us for what we are gonna have to face as nurses, and i greatly appreciate her for doing so. The school building itself could use a bit of repairing, especially in the clinical skills lab room, and some new mannequins and stimulation equipment for the students would be nice as well. Freshman: I think Broward College gets a bad rep of being an old, stinky community college. The truth is, it is very modern and up-to-date with the best resources to help and aid their students with their specific career pathways! I wish however, that they would change their image so it is more aesthetically pleasing to people who hear about this college!
