Senior: The UofM Twin Cities is an amazing public university! It offers just about any program you can think of and many of these programs are ranked extremely well in the United States, as well as around the world. Much of the faculty is involved in groundbreaking research, which enables students to be involved in research as well. The academic standards are rigorous but not too demanding to be successful. The location in the Twin Cities is wonderful for access to opportunities in the community for internships and partnerships. There are tons of student groups and activities for students to get involved in, which helps makes the large school feel smaller and offers opportunity to build a close knit community here. Having Division I sports means there is always a fun sporting event to go to, many of which are free for current students. Junior: I have been at Foothill for almost three years now and throughout these past years I feel like I am very satisfied with my education here. Freshman: I am currently taking the EMS program along with a forensic science class through FVTC, and I enjoy it very much! While my classes are at the Public Safety Training Center, I am frequently on the main Appleton campus, and it is an amazing place. The culture and friendliness from the staff and students is welcoming and they will go out of their way to help you. The food on campus is pretty nice as well. They do something neat at the main campus for lunches, where the culinary students prepare meals for the students. As for the public safety building, it's also very nice and honestly, I feel everyone there is even nicer because you all have a common theme in your degree programs. Sophomore: After I graduated high school I went straight to college, Mt. SAC. My freshman year was a little difficult to adjust to because of the way the class schedules are. Other: College of San Mateo really impressed me as a community college. I was a high school students a part of the middle college program there. The amount of resources that you have access to as a student is mind blowing. From Mental Health Resources, to Disability resources, to an abundance of interesting classes, any goal you have with going to college, CSM has got your back. As far as things that could be changed, I would say that a kind of student to administration communication line needs to be opened. While it is the nature of college that professors essentially get free reign on their classroom, when I did have a problem with a professor that they refused to work out with me, I did not have anywhere to lobby my complaint, at least, to my knowledge.
