Sophomore: After two semesters at PC I can say that I am EXTREMELY happy about choosing this community college as my reentrance into college life as an "adult learner". After a hiatus from school due to health and financial reasons, it took the pandemic to put things into perspective and remind me of what I truly value and enjoy in life: my education. Since enrolling at PC I've found real personal and professional success and have been pleasantly surprised at how many resources the college makes available to it's student body, the extracurriculars and community involvement opportunities (I, myself, have participated in PC's business club, Model UN, the region's #1 PTK honors society, DEI facilitator training, flexible work opportunities, and choir!) and an incredibly knowledgeable staff that is earnestly interested in preparing us for success in the next steps in our careers- whether that be getting certifications, associate degree, or transferring to a fantastic university. Freshman: Enrolling and applying for Cochise College was extremely easy with plenty of people available for questions and help. The entire staff I had interreacted with made enrolling and understanding things like finances and tuition much more approachable and smooth to go through, espeically while requesting disability accommodations. Planning and holding meetings were quick and very efficient to get what I needed with little to no hassle. I really appreciated how approachable they made each task instead of surrounding the whole process of enrollment and figuring out my tuition with even more dread. I have not started classes yet so I cannot speak on my actual experience with that yet, but every before school task I had to complete as a college freshman was easily glided through. Alum: UAT was nothing less than a transformative experience! I was fired-hosed with resources from industry-expert professors, who are more like mentors, and I was able to enhance my skills tenfold with the industry tools and tech I had access to while attending. My professors would also adapt with new and emerging tech or concepts often. They really are on the forefront of technology education, teaching what you will need as a professional in the future and throughout your career, not just what employers are looking for today. I also loved how I could take electives in other tech areas and work with students from other majors in production environments and even on industry projects to get a lot of real-world experience! UAT taught me how to think and move beyond barriers to achieve what I never thought was possible. Freshman: For my first semester doing online classes was a neat experience. Both instructors were on top with communication if you needed help understanding the assignments or having difficulties with it or even needing an extension for technical reasons that one could be struggling. The fact that they have student services where one can take opportunity to use whether it's getting help with essays or math by tutors or using their online tutoring services for free which makes it stress free. Also services to assist in how to find scholarships and learn how to write scholarship essays too. Everyone there is helpful and courteous which helps calm any anxiety and can answer any questions you may have about enrollment, financial aid and such. In regards to what I would like to see change would be a big change but it would be nice instead of having to commute to a different city MCC campus for a profession that isn't taught at Kingman MCC. Freshman: I became a Ambassador and I gained experienced about leadership, it was such a fun experience and I never had any trouble with my classes! I spend most of my time working as an Ambassador and I learned how to communicate with others, as well as to manage my time in work and classes, I was still in high school when i was a full college student and I was also working at my high school and I manage to divide my time for both, the experience I gained was amazing, I am grateful that I had the chance to be part of this opportunity, my boss was always so supportive with my schedule and she was an amazing leader....
