Poplar Bluff Technical Career Center
Alum: I attended PBTCC while I was enrolled at Poplar Bluff High School during my Junior and Senior years. I was enrolled in their Graphic Arts course where we learned how to use Adobe software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign to make graphics which we would then print on t-shirts or cut out in vinyl and place them on banners. While it was a classroom setting, it was ran like it was business where clients would come to us for banners, shirts, or printed items like business cards. This was an aspect I really liked about the course, the fact that what we were making would be seen and used by others really gave me a sense of value anything I worked on. This workplace philosophy was present in many other courses such as Building Trades or our Culinary Arts course where they ran a small restaurant called "Mules Cafe". Overall, I enjoyed my experience at PBTCC and found it to be the highlight of my last two years in highschool as part of the class of 2018.... Read 3 reviews
