Community support both for academics and athletics helps propel Emporia State. After we graduate, we are given excellent opportunities to pursue our careers and start internships, this is because professional worksites acknowledge how well Emporia State teaches their students and sets them up for success. With a student body not too big or too small, there are plenty of opportunities to make new friends. Along with making friends, students at Emporia State also create strong, positive relationships with their professors. The students and faculty at Emporia State University also support the athletic programs, and that results in success in many sports. Alum: FHSU has a special place in my heart. I love the faculty, the learning environment, and the variety of assignments given to me. The online format was quite flexible, and I was able to work at my own pace. They helped me be successful and I cannot thank them enough for their support. If you want to go to a reputable school, Fort Hays State University is the place to go. Freshman: I am continuously in awe of my school. Everything about this school is just phenomenal. We have the greatest President, and all the faculty and staff are outstanding. The students are also so kind and welcoming, it is refreshing being in a place where I feel so safe. There are countless student-led activities, and this is a great Christian atmosphere with many people showing Jesus' Love. This is also an excellent place for people who aren't religious, and there are other connections to this college besides religion. Other: All of the admin and professors were very welcoming when going on a college visit. They made Bethany feel like a home to me. The student life is very involved in Lindsborg and the neighborhoods surrounding the campus. They've always communicated with me throughout my college search, which stood out to me the most. Senior: Over the course of the past five semesters, I have had nothing but excellent teachers who teach classes of the highest possible standard. All of my BSW program professors who were responsible for teaching required classes have earned my utmost satisfaction. It has been a tremendous blessing to have such wonderful classmates with whom to do homework.
