Junior: NC State is not just a school with great academics, campus, and people, but instead a wildly diverse cosmopolitan community. At State there is truly something for everyone. For those who don’t know or have never visited campus, State is located close to Downtown Raleigh. Students enjoy its busy commercial areas as well as the abundance of tech companies, government departments, and awesome parks. On the weekends, friends and myself enjoy the nightlife of Raleigh and the rest of the Triangle. Besides the sense of place that NC State provides, the faculty is remarkable. They retain a sense of intellectual prowess without that air of elitism that other public and private universities might have. Every faculty member I have interacted with has been down to earth and actually cares about student success. I have made so many great connections and friendships since being here. Sophomore: Although some professors were overwhelmed, some tasked with teaching up to 6 courses or more online at a time, I did have excellent professors as well. The resources that the school provides are extraordinary, with several student leadership opportunities as well. The campus is decent, but does not offer much seating space. Additionally, I would argue that a majority of the student body are under the age of 19, many enrolled in the middle-college program they offer. Thus, I do feel slightly alienated as an older student, which I would communicate to other prospective students. The courses, though, offer knowledgeable information and I feel have prepared me to transfer to University. Overall, I have had a great experience with the college and am very grateful to have had the opportunity to spend two years at a much cheaper cost with the same education compared to a four-year University. Alum: I had an excellent experience at Cleveland Community College. I recently graduated with my AA and I am so pleased that I made the decision to attend CCC after I graduated high school. The staff are all very helpful and truly want you to be your best self and succeed to the best of your abilities. Sophomore: Pitt community college is a great college and focus on their students. They work one on one with students, you get to know your instructors, it's easier to interact with teachers and students. Pitt is a great affordable and accessible community college. Pitt is a flexible college for students working full time job and going to school like me. Pitt educates and empowers there students for success. Pitt provides access to dynamic learning opportunities designed to stimulate personal enrichment and successful career preparation. Junior: Here at UNCP, the administrators make sure you have a safe place to study. They make sure they prepare you for your work ahead so that you can put your best foot forward. As someone who values a balance of mental, physical, and educational progress, there are plenty of opportunities for me to engage in on campus. Before class, I register for F45 to help build my physical health. They make sure you know your resourses in case you need to talk to someone.
