Freshman: Socially, the university has multitudes to offer, countless clubs and organization and events from farmers markets to concerts, fireworks, food trucks and group fitness classes there is always something to do on campus. However, if campus recreation is not what you are interested in, the university is located in the perfect spot with access to downtown city, amazing restaurant, theaters, hiking trails and more. Academically there are several opportunities to be intellectually challenges both in the classroom and outside of the classroom with research, internships, lectures and more. I have admittedly had some qualms with a number of professors here, whether it be expecting unreasonable amount of commitment, writing unfair exams, or arrogant attitudes however I have also experience some professors that greatly impacted my collegiate experience. Senior: At my time at Temple University, I have experienced countless fun that I would not have other wise had the chance when in my small home town. we have access to the whole city and Temple provided discounted subway and train passes! This benefits both on-campus students and commuters in helping student branch out into the community at a cheaper cost. There is also a diverse club population so any student that comes to temple can find what they love surrounded by the people who are similar to them. There are also a ton of "student" days where free activities happen all around campus. I have participated in mini-golf, plate smashing, stuffed animal making, trivia, and more all for prizes to win! Junior: Muhlenberg College is a small but lovely undergraduate liberal arts college. The campus itself is a bit small, but that has always been a positive to me because I like the personable nature of the school. Also, everything is within walking distance, which makes commute to class/events pretty easy. The dining hall is ranked number one in PA, and very highly nationally as well, so the food is one of the major positives of the campus. In terms academics, Muhlenberg has a very strong theater program, though they are well staffed in other fields as well, providing a plethora of different majors and minors to students. The professors are great and work really hard to foster an inclusive environment. They are always happy to meet with you outside of class, and the small class sizes allow you to build more personal relationships with peers and instructors, which is ultimately one of my favorite aspects of the school. Freshman: My child is a freshman and absolutely loves F&M! I think the rating here overall is so off base. Should be A+. The campus is lovely. And it’s walking distance to lots of cute cafes and restaurants. Lovely small city of 65k surrounded by gorgeous farmland. The campus itself is beautiful and tree lined. The dorms freshman year are ok. College owns all “off campus” housing too and I have heard that is better for upper class-man. Classes so far have been rigorous but interesting. Loves the professors and advisor. The student support center is excellent. My child is also a musician and helping to make more of a music scene on campus. The music department is fantastic as are the facilities. My child is extremely involved in many extracurricular so super busy and happy. Joined Greek life but lots of friends outside it too. Sophomore: Saint Francis is truly an amazing college. The professors here are very smart and also extremely kind. They want their students to exceed and they want to get to know them better. There are also a plethora of opportunities here. I was involved in a research project during the spring semester of my freshman year, which is incredible. The professors are passionate people who know the material and are prepared to help students. Housing is good as there are lots of options as you get to the next year and it's spread out over campus. I'm not big into partying, but when I went, it was very fun and from what I've heard, there's never a dull moment on the weekends.
