Freshman: What is Ouachita Baptist University. Well, the obvious answer is that it is a university, but OBU is so much more than that. After attending Ouachita for almost a year now, I think I finally have my answer to that question. OBU isn't just your average university. Every aspect of Ouachita feels like it was done with care and appreciation for students and faculty alike. One example of this is OBU's professors. Unlike many universities, Ouachita isn't massive. This allows professor's to connect and teach their students on a personal level. Whether this be inside a lecture hall, or inside a professor's home who invited you over for dinner( yes, they do that here). The campus is beautiful and is well maintained year round.
