Alum: My experience at OBU was fantastic! It takes time and effort, but you can find a good, supportive group of people there. The students also come with a variety of backgrounds and unique interests. I liked that I could walk to all of my classes. The teachers I had were supportive and personal. The gym had everything you would need. There were plenty of activities to get involved in as well. The environment was very relaxed. My only critique would be the food. Over time (perhaps new management) grilled chicken and other items like it seemed to become more rare or took more effort to get. The food quality didn’t seem quite as good as it used to be and the veal and other good dishes were only available when they had a day where potential future students were visiting. Alum: Being enrolled is great but getting enrolled is a bit of a mess. I wish there was more communication or instruction for getting everything set up once you’ve gotten your acceptance letter. After that it is smooth sailing and I had a lot of fun. I attended the surgical technology program at the health sciences center and we had a lot of opportunity. Lot’s of work in the lab with the teachers and even a retired doctor. I was very prepared for what I was getting into with clinicals. Graduate Student: I went to Meridian Tech for my CMA certification. I loved absolutely every part of it. Graduate Student: I wasn't to sure about continuing my education or being in the medical field. For those who are seeking to go to college, WTC offers both a Biomedical Science and Pre-Engineering academy to those in their junior and seniors years of high school (local schools often cannot offer such rigorous courses).
