Junior: To start, living on my own in the city has been an authentic experience that has helped me grow as a young adult, taking on new responsibilities and meeting different people! There are so many resources and opportunities, some clearly offered and pushed, and some just found by research or who you know (so be friendly and make connections!). Regarding classes, my professors are very inspiring, with expertise and experience. With the educational aspect, you'll learn the concrete information (rules and details of a concept) by studying and reading; you have to put in your own effort if you want to learn, either on your own time out of class, or for an assignment. Senior: I absolutely love RIT! Although primarily a tech school, there are so many unique people and personalities that attend, proving that everybody will find their people here, no matter who you are. Additionally, there are so many programs to choose from, and many have notable alum within the department. For example, our College of Art and Design is best known for their successful photography programs and film and animation. There are so many ways to get involved in clubs and organizations! From athletics to greek life, gaming clubs, and many more. There is something for everybody. Also, RIT's co-op program makes it one of the best options for students who are career-driven. Having the opportunity to partake in 2 (or more) paid internships while still in college helps pave the way for the future and helps them put their best foot forward when looking for a job post-grad. Freshman: I love Pratt so far. There is so much around (ITS BROOKLYN!) and the academics are rigorous without being too overwhelming. I really enjoy how much professors care about the students here. There are amazing facilities as well. One thing I will criticize is that everything costs money! Oh boy is it expensive. Senior: I was immediately attracted to Alfred State the moment I stepped onto campus for its size. It is small but not too small. The class sizes are perfect. The professors are able to give you more personal attention than a lot of friends receive at other colleges. The professors at Alfred State want you to succeed and will help you achieve your goals. The support of my professors has given me more confidence in myself. There is always something to do at Alfred State. Fall and football is my favorite time of year. The team seems to unite the entire campus. There are many sports teams, clubs and general campus activities to participate in to meet new people and develop new friendships. Freshman: As someone who attends the Niagara Falls Culinary Insititute campus, I have absolutely fallen in love with the school and become obsessed with all my classes. I always feared that there wasn't an education available to me quite like the Culinary Institute of America, but I feel as though NFCI achieves all that and more. For one, all the equipment and classrooms are brand new, always tidy and organized- making it the perfect area to learn. All the chefs are very knowledgeable, no matter their specialization- and I have never learned so much from such a small group of people before. The small class sizes make it extremely easy for one on one conversation with teachers and classmates, as well as problem solving when necessary. The opportunities that are presented here as well absolutely make all the tuition worth it, from galas to buffets and the on-campus restaurant, and I am so eternally grateful that all of this is offered near me.... Sophomore: It's been a blast being at this school! New York can be overwhelming but you adjust pretty quickly. Everyone is very kind and supports you through tough times.
