Alum: The student diversity at KVCC is amazing! All the faculty memebrs are very passionate about representing KVCC in a great and memorable way. They genuinely care about their students personal lives and what their futures hold. It's hard to find a large enrollmenet sized school with people who puruse relationships with their students. I would like to see a change in how student-athletes support other student athletes along with the facilities. Sophomore: Lansing Community College handled the pandemic really well. The transition to online learning was pretty smooth. Now two years into the pandemic, LCC is starting to offer more in person class options, which is awesome! Except they are also taking away online learning options, which made the college more accessible for more people. Class sizes are small and personal, it gives better opportunities to get to know your instructor. Even with online learning I made bonds with some of my instructors. Sophomore: I have been at KCC for 2 years so far, I did a full year of college my senior year of high school and earned my Emergency Medical Technician certificate before I even turned 18. Kellogg helped me navigate graduating and starting pre-reqs for nursing school. I love the staff and all of the professors at my school, they are helpful, outgoing, smart, and they teach you their knowledge better than you could ask for. I am also a part of the Kellogg Community College womens bowling team which is also a great experience, I have been competing since I was 13 but I never have felt a sense of belonging like I do on KCC's team. I would recommend KCC to everyone and anyone, they have lots of programs to choose from, lots of good financial aid offers, a great campus, great faculty, and it is a fun place to be and learn!... Freshman: I am a freshman at Eastern Michigan University, I enjoyed my first semester a lot. The beautiful campus of Eastern provides many events and clubs to join, there is never a dull moment! The library is a great place to study either alone in quiet areas or even with a group of friends. There is a variety of food choices around the campus such as going to Starbucks in the student center for a quick coffee to eating at a sushi bar in the same student center. The curriculum Eastern offers is diverse there are many different classes, online/hybrid/in-person that have great professors. Freshman: I'm a freshman at CCS studying Crafts and Material Studies. The education is super individualized in my experience, probably because of the great student-teacher ratio. I've learned so many new techniques since I've been here. The social life is subpar, but it is present and it's amazing to be surrounded by so many creatives! Sophomore: Muskegon community college is an excellent start for bright students that wish to push their learning further while perhaps on a budget! MCC has helped me get my associates degree through numerous scholarship opportunities and plentiful resources with learning. I swear that I was getting graduate level instructors while at a 100 and 200 level course. Something I wish to see change in is the financial side of things, they are not the most clear about how much tuition can cost, and you may have to do the digging yourself to figure out the math. Sophomore: I just finished my freshmen year at Davenport University, where I'm studying marketing! DU gave me a great freshmen year college experience that prepared me for the next three years of my life. I met so many great people and had special bonds with all the faculty and staff. Being at a small school like DU gave me the opportunities to communicate better to my teachers, and get the extra help I needed to succeed in my classes. Not only am I a full time student but I also work and am apart of the Pompon team at DU. I work under the center of campus life where I help create posters and social media posts, along with help run and set up the school events. I joined the Pom team before my freshman year not knowing much about the sport but its been the best decision I've ever made.
