Senior: Fantastic experience thus far. I have transferred from a lackluster institution and Purdue blows it out of the water. Academics within the Polytechnic Institute have been both challenging but rewarding to pursue by yourself--or better yet with others! Campus is beautiful and is rapidly expanding upon but more housing is needed on campus and by West Lafayette (thankfully downtown Lafayette is a great off campus place to be). Opportunities no joke pop up everyday due to the connections and reputation has for its students. And nearly everyone is both kind and helpful in every aspect of your academic career. Freshman: I love that Huntington is a small school where you really get to know those around you. I love that the small class sizes really allow professors to get to know the students. The campus is beautiful year round and being small takes only about 10 minutes to walk from one end to the other. Only down side of campus is the fog due to lake snow-tip. I always feel safe walking on campus even at night and living in a dorm near campus police makes the feeling much safer. I have enjoyed my past year on campus and attending my classes and speaking to advisors that truly feel like they are there to help out. The nursing professor are always available to have a conversation about theology, life, grades, and just issues going on. There has been a number of professors who are highly understanding if something comes up and you are unable to attend class and need to make up assignments, quizzes, or exams. Sophomore: I love my experience at Ivy Tech! The staff is very helpful and truly want you to be successful. And they are pretty cheap. I would definitely recommend Ivy Tech whether you choose to get your bachelor's or not. They offer cheap classes, flexible scheduling, and it is a pretty safe campus downtown. The security staff make an effort to make you feel safe and welcome as well as keep you up-to-date on how to stay safe through emails and posters. Freshman: Ancilla College of Marian University is such a unique college in many ways.For being a two year college,they are especially unique for offering many programs to be able to get your associates degree and they even have a 4 year nursing program!They are partnered with Marian University out of Indianapolis, Indiana , which is the second most innovative college in the Midwest! Ancilla College has lots to offer such as 15 sport programs as well as many clubs you can join on campus. They are part of the National Junior College Athletic Association which helps many student athletes by having instant playing time due to only freshman and sophomores on the team and gets them ready for the next step to a four year school athletically and most importantly academically.I am blessed to say that I am enrolled into Ancilla College of Marian University and so excited to be representing the school when I on the court playing and on the campus studying.You would not regret going to MUAC, I know I wont....
