Sophomore: Beautiful school and in a prime location - no complaints there! The small population of the school provides optimal opportunities to connect with professors and other students—a great student-to-teacher ratio. The culture among students is very diverse and offers a beautiful opportunity to learn about different cultures! The only downfall is the parking situation, super strict, and poor parking lot placements, but that is arbitrary. Freshman: This is my first year of college and I could not be more pleased. Everyone has been so helpful from the receptionist to my advisor. The instructors are very personable, which has made my first year a lot more enjoyable. They offer lots of great programs and transfer programs, which is what first caught my attention. Senior: Minneapolis Community and Technical College is designed accessible to navigate. It is welcoming and a diverse cultural establishment. There are many places to belong , inspiring faculty and students, academic support including a center and tutors on-site. I have utilized the Parent-Student center which is a place for parents to bring their children and study. I have utilized other accommodations including the Trio Program that offers first generation student and higher chance to transfer to a 4 year degree while working closely with an advisor. I have received awesome counseling and mentoring. The website is easy to navigate as well as the campus. Freshman: So far, I have been really impressed wit Anoka-Ramsey CC! I have loved all my teachers, I really feel like the staff here cares about each student individually. It's a great sized campus with plenty of degree opportunities. I will say that the only thing I wish was different was their e-services site where you register & stuff. It's a little outdated and could definitely be a bit more user friendly, but academic advisors are always available to help if you have trouble registering for classes & such.
