Sophomore: The first thing I can say about Indian River State College (IRSC), specifically Massey Campus-- I haven't been to the other campuses-- is that my experience with advisors has been the best. The advisors here are so thorough and understanding, even if that means supporting your goals of going to another school. They genuinely provide comfort and the best advisory for your personal ambitions. If I could change anything, it would be the professors! Freshman: I think Broward College gets a bad rep of being an old, stinky community college. Sophomore: I like my college! There is a staffing shortage of professors, but most of the professors I have are very nice. Polk State offers a lot of student support via free tutoring on campus or online, a food pantry, and a good deal of financial assistance. I attend this college through a scholarship. My counselor is like my at-school mom and cares for me beyond education, but as a person. I am also a queer person and the staff have been kind and accepting of my identity. I am not involved much with student social activities, but their are always plenty of events to attend each month, no matter your interests. Freshman: The things that I liked about The Aviatiom Institute of Maintenance is the timing of the night class schedule giving me the opportunity to work during the day. The campus is well laid out, and the parking lot has plenty of parking for the students, staff, and administration. The teachers all come from different backgrounds and have a wide variety of teaching skills. All of the teachers constantly make time to answer any questions you may have and are also willing to schedule time for tutoring as well. Every member of the staff and administration have the student in mind and constantly are serving us with special food and desert days, career fairs, and much more. The cafeteria has a wide variety of meals, snacks and beverages to chose from, as well as utensils and even microwaves to warm up your food.
