Alum: OCC is one of the biggest and, arguably, one of the best community colleges in the nation. They boast a large variety of majors and programs for students to explore. My experience with the counselors have been amazing, as they helped me complete the credits I needed for transfer and discover the right major for me. As a two-year college, the classes offered are mostly lower division general education classes. OCC offers an associates degree or certification for almost every major available. The facilities on campus are well maintained with brand new buildings across campus, including the college center, student union, literature & language building, and (my favorite) the planetarium. Sophomore: Easy to register, easy to enroll for classes and easy to access a counselor. The dashboard is easy to use when doing online courses. The programs and professors are very well qualified. Staff is very friendly when we need to speak to admissions, financial aid or business office. I completed my health care interpreting program back in May 2021. Now I am studying American Sign Language. This college has amazing majors and it is so easy to get through an education at this campus, whether its in person or online. Reedley College includes a Reedley Middle College program for students that want to get ready for college. This campus is very well structured with student's needs. It also includes support for disabled students that want to pursue their education. I am also proud of my college, because it includes an Adult Transition Program that helps kids obtain their diploma after completing a certificate in high school. Sophomore: This is a great school. The curriculum is great and all of the professors are easy to deal with. The EOPS and Guardian Scholars counselors are very hands on and thorough. I went into the admissions office not having the slightest idea where to begin, and they did EVERYTHING they could to ease my jitters and guide me down my path. Freshman: The staff is very friendly and always will to help. There is always someone informing the students on all the programs available.
